Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker's final trailer suggests that C-3PO will die in the final installment of the Skywalker saga. One of the original characters to appear in George Lucas' original Star Wars trilogy, C-3PO is an iconic staple of the franchise's lore - both in canon and in Legends. Han, Luke and now C3PO. Watch out Lando, R2D2 and Chewie.

A toaster doesn’t die. It just breaks down and you buy another one.

Actually it’s the entire franchise that’s being killed off, I think they got almost all of it with that last piece of “woke” crap they released.

I think I’ll re-watch my Rogue One and Empire Strikes Back Blu-Rays instead this time around.

Oh, for cryin’ out loud. Now we’re supposed to get all weepy about a fictional robot dying? Which by thw way, how is that even plausible? Couldn’t he just be repaired or rebooted?

Saw the trailer during half-time last night. Looked awful. Don’t care if the robot “dies.”

Actually it’s the entire franchise that’s being killed off,

Jar Jar Binks killed it for me. Stopped watching that one 1/2 way thru, never saw another.
Haven't missed a thing

Forty years, when I heard that George Lucas was planning to make nine movies, I also heard that he wanted R2-D2 and C-3PO to be the only characters that would appear in all nine movies. This news just means Lucas is getting his wish.
