DENVER — Denver talk radio host Craig Silverman was fired midway through his program Saturday morning after criticizing President Donald Trump.
Silverman confirmed his termination to FOX31 and Channel 2 Saturday evening.
The former Denver chief deputy district attorney was hosting “The Craig Silverman Show,” which aired between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. Saturdays on 710 KNUS. The program is no longer listed on the conservative radio station’s website.
Silverman says he was fired after airing a segment about Roy Cohn, the late lawyer who represented Trump in the 1970s.
On Friday, Silverman wrote a Facebook post in support of former Ukraine Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch, who was testifying in impeachment hearings.
“Yovanovitch is an American hero. I have seen countless witnesses testify and she was one of the all-time finest. Her poise, courage and credibility inspire me,” Silverman wrote.
Following his firing, Silverman reacted on Twitter.
“I cannot and will not toe strict Trump party line. I call things as I see them. I see corruption and blatant dishonesty by President and his cronies. I also see bullying/smearing of American heroes w/courage to take oath and tell truth. Their bravery inspires me,” he wrote.
The host’s firing has started to receive national attention. Republican candidate for president Joe Walsh called Silverman’s termination “pathetic.”

Silverman says he will speak on CNN’s “Reliable Sources” Sunday morning.
KNUS is owned by Salem Media Group, which specializes in Christian and conservative content.
FOX31 and Channel 2 have reached out to Salem for a comment.
I certainly believe in unlimited freedom of speech and the free exchange of ideas and I know nothing about the man, but he must be a dim bulb if he is no more aware of what’s going on than his remarks suggest.

He is a liberal lawyer who does not understand the truth. he operates on emotion which is why he loses so many legal cases. He is known in Colorado as a terrible lawyer. His show is his squeaky little voice ranting about the dumbest positions that he holds. He position is that Trump is guilty because so many people think so.
What elsie did he do that this was the final straw that got him fired?
He’s a lawyer who appears on TV a lot to discuss Denver area legal issues du jour. I’ve never liked him.
What’s funny is that Joe McCarthy was right. There were Communists infiltrating Washington and Hollywood, as proven by the Venona Papers and by testimony of Russian defectors. The famous quote that started the process to make him seem a villain was:
“Have you no sense of decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency? Joseph Nye Welch”
McCarthy was surprised by that public accusation after a private meeting. It was gobbled up by the media, who ran with that meme. Today’s equivalent is the selected leaks and outright lies by Adam Schiff.
He always has been slightly oriented towards the left, but previously has been pretty fair. However, he’s gone over the top on this one. The wife even noted that he seems to have really changed last week.
He complained in part that President Trump fired his favored ambassador. Hussein fired all of them. It is one thing to be biased, we all are, but spewing hate and unpopular legal opinion did not fly.

Michael Medved was a Lefty. He had mellowed in his age but he the congressmen was far Left (speechwriter for Joseph Duffey). Medved repeatedly refuted and denounced callers who would try to use the work Socialist against any Democrat plans.
He disagreed with the political planks of human waste on sidewalks, used hypo needles in the streets, and free apartments for homeless alcoholics to bunk in and get drunk.
He was a defender of John McCain and a big supporter of Mitt Romney.
Medved was there when RFK was assassinated also knew Hillary Clinton at Yale.
Desperation......Saturday morning radio talk shows generally don't have much of an audience so the stations will fill the time slot with pretty much anyone willing to come in to the studio.......

The Left certainly doesn’t, the FIBber in chief planted a story about a Russian pee pee porno video and everyone in Congress openly acussed the President of the United States of treason and being a Fascist white supremacist.
After reading the article, I get the impression that they didn’t fire him for his anti-Trump opinions but because the guy sounds like a complete lunatic.

She never should have been called to testify in the 1st place, since she had absolutely no knowledge of the phone call that the dems are hanging their hat on. The only reason she was asked to testify was so she could garner sympathy and make Trump look like a bad guy.
Well, as others have said, you can’t impeach a president because you don’t like his personality or think he’s rude.
My Spidey senses tell me there’s more to this story.
In my city there is no weekend live daytime talk radio. There are infomercials, some food and beverage shows (recorded and produced at other times, no callers please), and some investment advice programs that echo the same points every week. Sunday morning one religious program airs and Sunday evening some religious leaders discuss issues of the day in a light manner.
There might be a few rebroadcast hours from earlier in the week as well. Overnight there are some new programs.

If he thinks former Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch is an American hero, he has NO understanding of what an American hero is.
