I buy a premium mix at Menards. It has oil and striped sunflower, safflower, nuts and a few other things I can’t think of right now. No millet. It’s pricey but I use my Menards rewards for bird seed. If I had the animal fat you have I would make my own suet cakes too. Used to a long time ago but suet is expensive now.

Mom likes to buy me birding supplies for Christmas gifts - it goes along with our ‘no more STUFF’ pledge that all gifts must be consumable - by someone - so she buys me suet in the winter.

I think she bought me 12 jars of grape jelly for the Orioles - she finds it for a couple of bucks at Aldi - and stocks me up a few years at a time. :)

Today I’ll be making suet and lemon-y kale pesto; hoping to not get the recipes mixed up - ick!
