I like her new look-it is what I would wear if I lived where people had fancy parties-but I’d probably wear green rather than black-but a basic black dress is always in fashion for a formal occasion-I think Mrs. Pence looked too buttoned down, cinched up and severe before-this is more stylish-softer and more feminine...
A glittery shawl would have been nice...and warmer!

I agree! Mrs Pence can hold her own for someone who prefers to stay out of the limelight.
I think her being the wife of the VP is really a big step out of her Comfort Zone. :)
