Taylor, a 4-year-old English springer spaniel, has been among the hard working rescuers during Australias bushfire crisis.
When told: Koala, Find!, Taylor ventures out into burnt-out bushland, finding injured marsupials by sniffing out the scent of their fur or their faeces, also known as scat. Each time she finds a koala, she is rewarded with a tennis ball or culinary treat.
The fires have killed 29 people and razed bushland across an area the size of Bulgaria.

Good girl.
When I was a kid, my dad had a boss that had a Springer spaniel. When the boss was out of town, I went with my dad to take the dog to the park. I’ll never forget what a nice looking dog it was. And boy could it run!
Good friends of mine have two Springers. Beautiful dogs, very friebdly and energetic.
Gotta love dogs!!
Had one, smartest dog I’ve ever owned. And relentless and non stop energy when on the hunt or in the pool. Have a Welsh Springer and English Cocker now. Wonderful dogs, but neither is as smart or hardworking as “The Doo”.
My friends’ Springers are both so rambuctious and indulged as to be thought virtually untrainable. They mostly overwhelm visitors but not me. Even though I visit infrequently, they remember that I do not tolerate being mobbed by them and approach me only when I call them. My friends marvel at this.
