One inmate fatally struck a fellow prisoner and critically wounded another at a central California prison, officials said Friday.
They said Jonathan Watson, 41, used a walking cane to cause multiple head wounds to both victims at the California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison in Corcoran on Thursday.
Both were taken to an outside hospital, but one died en route and the other remained in critical condition.

Good news. David Bobb is dead. Thanks Jon. If the 14 YO was my child...if at all possible...Bobb would have never seen a day in prison.

If someone deserves the death penalty then the citizens and the state needs to have the courage to administer it.
our Constitution outlaws torture and all the jerks who facilitated or are praising this horrorshow are no different than thugs.
I support the death penalty administered quickly with the state and its citizens responsible.
This? This is gulag material.
First, in Kennedy v. Louisiana (2008), the Supreme Court exceeded their authority and ruled that the death penalty is unconstitutional in all cases that do not involve murder or crimes against the State. The legislative option was closed out by an activist court exceeding their authority.
Second, I agree 100% that we have a moral responsibility to keep even the worst prisoners safe once we remove their ability to defend themselves. I have no objection to parents who kill these predators in the process of stopping the attack, but our government should not look the other way on what happens behind bars.
Well it’s all so murky.
So a prisoner shot and killed to employees (hypothetically) and Destroyed 2 families, including likely a number of children.
Yet he sees himself as somehow better than a child molester or killer.
Our maternal and paternal instincts make us glad to hear this news (not all).
But if one take a step back, it’s ironic.
Men who may have destroyed many, Many lives seeing themselves as better in some way than another monster.
I was thinking of going for this look.

The overall majority in Prison have been sexually molested/raped and/or physically abused very early in their formative years.
It’s an unbelievable cycle and so horrendous in the familial lines, including those who suffer at the hands of these men (and women) as they age.
I do believe Prison is not a place for what is often afflicted upon the inmates by other inmates or guards.
That said, justice needs to be dealt.
To me, anyone who’s serving over a certain jail time needs death if they’ve been convicted of a sexual or physical crime.
White collar crimes are a bit more harder to gage. Still, someone like a Maddof (did I spell that correctly?) needs the death penalty because of the sheer numbers he affected and ruined. And when his wife tried to hide jewelry she should have been made to serve time.
Just my 2 cents.

Seeing what life is like for prisoners, I don't know why anyone becomes a second offender........

Well, the life sentence is over. Taxpayer money has been saved. I really don’t see a problem. I will donate for a possible broken cane.

Whether they admit it or not, many of the men in our prisons are victims of abusers of one kind of another. They see their own abusers when they look at prisoners who are in for child sex offenders.
Indeed,if killings of sex offenders can occur so easily, ironically I am sure rapes in unchecked prison would occure just as easily...
That is because men can be murderers and still have the respect of other men. Easily.
Men cannot ever be child predators.
This will not be tolerated by other men.
Is this right or wrong? Doesn’t matter. It is the way of things.
