I have seen very interesting reports that describe this as a coronavirus from bats - but one that has been spiked in a laboratory with proteins from SARS that allow it to aggressively bind to “ACE2” receptors in human epithelial cells. Note that Chinese scientists have many patents doing exactly such work - you guessed it - at China’s only Bio-security level 4 lab - in Wuhan.

There was a rumor that the cleaning crew at that virus lab was selling the test bats to that seafood market (which carved up about anything brought in, not just fish)

I live in Indonesia.

I probably could go to a market and purchase a fruit bat for eating if I really wanted to do so. But, they are not sold at all markets here and it is not frequently offered at dinners with guests.

Durian I can get easily. It totally stinks. I’ve been told that if you can get past the smell, it is a wonderful fruit. I can’t get past the smell.
