Sharing threats made by someone else could soon become a punishable offense in Germany, after the government approved a bill Wednesday designed to crack down on hate speech and online extremism.
Following a regional politician’s slaying and an attack on a synagogue last year, German government ministers announced plans to require companies like Facebook and YouTube to report certain forms of hate speech to the police and to provide the users’ IP addresses. Firms already have to delete such posts.
Under the bill that won Cabinet backing, internet companies would have to report a wide range of hate speech to federal police. This includes posts containing far-right propaganda, graphic portrayals of violence, murder or rape threats, preparations for a terrorist attack and images of child sexual abuse.
The measures still require the approval of parliament. Facebook declined to comment on the bill.
The legislation endorsed Wednesday also would extend the definition of criminal hate speech to include threats of rape or property damage and expressing approval for serious crimes. …

If we have to fight Germany for a third time in less than a century I think that upon victory we should relocate the German population to several areas in North America and then re-wild Germany.

According to lefties, there’s no such thing as far-left propaganda.
The preparation is taking place now thru the Homeland Security program. "If you see something, say something." Although this is supposed to be about such things as people studying vulnerable places, yet what is heard is mostly female Generation Z and Millennial types simply exhorting the "see something suspicious, say something" mantra.
While this can be useful in preventing a actual harmful situation, this class (excepting Central Americans) is the most oversensitive, politically correct, and lacking in judgment, and thus most likely to make fallacious reports, while being reluctant to report a suspicious activity if it would seem politically incorrect. .

Germany as a country is FUBAR. It is such a waste of a great culture.

So if I report a threat someone else makes and I share the Facebook post with the German police so they can look into it they will arrest me???

Suppose I’m here in America, but I have a friend in Germany. Do they have to report my posts because they show up on my friend’s wall?
