The emerging global movement of rightwing populists is guilty of many things but ideological incoherence in choosing their enemies is generally not one of them. Whether it is Steve Bannon bashing Pope Francis, Matteo Salvini attacking the do-gooders in humanitarian NGOs or Marine Le Pen venting against the dull technocrats in Brussels, the populists go after a predictable, well-calculated set of targets. If anyone chooses their enemies well, its them.

There are about 4 oxymorons in that one statement. You cannot be a rightwing - e.g. constitutional conservative and a globalist/ You cannot be a populist in the US and a globalist. You cannot have a global movement of such folks etc.

I got the impression from this article they were trying to start a new campaign to convince the public that globalism is a good idea. Rest of world agreeing to that consensus (according to article).

That’s because in America, the tech industry is nothing more than an arm of the democrat party and progressive movement. They are everyone else, but Euros are so used to being crushed, oppressed and beaten down that they think big tech is their savior.
