More U.S. likely voters say it’s “time for America to get back to work” despite the COVID-19 pandemic, but that plurality is driven by conservatives, results of a national Rasmussen Reports survey released Monday reveal.
While 43% of voters nationwide say “Yes,” it’s time to get back to work, 38% say “No,” it’s not. Another 19% are “unsure,” according to the survey of 1,000 voters conducted April 30 and May 3, 2020.

But, 71% of conservatives say it’s time for the country to return to work, compared to just 30% of moderates. Only 14% of liberals say it’s time to get back to work – 69% say it is not time (17% unsure).
More men (51%) than women (37%) think America is ready to get back on the job.
Liberals and women are also more likely to be afraid they’ll contract coronavirus if they return to work than are conservatives and men.
Asked, “How concerned are you personally about getting the coronavirus if you go back to work?” 84% of liberals say they’re at least somewhat concerned – and 50% are “very concerned” they’ll catch the virus if they go back to work. Meanwhile, 50% of conservatives and 68% of moderates are at least “somewhat concerned” they’ll contract the COVID-19 if they return to the job. Seventy-two percent of women say they’re concerned (37% very concerned), compared to 56% of men (28% very concerned).

Typical liberal. I liken it to the question of “how much taxes are enough”? Well the same applies here “ how long do we have to stay closed”. They won’t answer because it’s not long enough...ever.
I know many, many liberals who work and make a good living.

Guy next to me is making a good buck staying home between unemployment, the check, check for the kids, the unemployment bonus, etc. Happy as hell working around the house, etc.

The other alternative is simply death w/o Christ. MUCH better to choose Christ.
More than half the Liberals are retired, or work for the government, or for the techies, or for academia and are not laid off or lost income. So of course they do not mind if everyone else is out of work while they get to pretend staying home is “saving” the nation.
It is a silly question because different areas have different situations so who can give one answer?
I’m on a lot of different social media groups - classmates from high school, college, amateur sports clubs, neighbors, relatives, church groups.
The most obvious mark of divided of opinion is if one works for government, or not. The sense of entitlement and arrogance that comes from having a guaranteed taxpayer paycheck is huge.
Liberals HATE when people work... they grow independent of government and tend to appreciate freedoms more, and drift towards a more Coservative political viewpoint.
And this has seen the biggest example in the African-American population - who has seen a massive surge in “Blexit” - blacks walking away from the Democrat party.
It’s boiling down to the pro-maskers VS the anti-maskers.

When “more government control” is the answer to any problem a pandemic is like winning the lottery.
When they finally jump on the bandwagon and get back to work, they will not have learned from the experience.
I say this because of how they repeatedly bought whatever hoax the Enemedia pushed in the Obama years with Trayvon Martin and others. The first reports were always wrong. And when the Boston Marathon got bombed, the Media went looking for a white supremacist/ Tea Partier.
They just don't seem to learn.

You are simply incorrect. I wish the stay at home orders were lifted and everyone could return to work. But I would still wear a mask if I lived in a community with a lot of infections. Currently, the town we are in has very few reported cases.
Your unwarranted assertion is similar to the liberal "one size fits all" assumptions.
The day I started working from home, almost two months ago, was the day one of my co-workers was sneezing and coughing at work just before he planned to visit a doctor. When I return to work, I will have a mask ready at my desk. If someone comes to work sick, then I will put it on. This has NOTHING to do with liberal vs conservative.
That definitely needed to be said.

For most people, the Wu flu is nothing more than a bad cold ... and I’ve sure had my share, including one in January.
Could it have been Chinky flu? All I know is that me and a lot of my friends all caught the same thing. We’re fine now. A couple of us went to the doctor for meds. No one was hospitalized.
Protect the elderly and those in high-risk categories. As for the rest of us ... I sure hope one of my favorite restaurants is open by the end of this week.

No one should have to prove to some side by doing something they dont want to either way.
I wonder how it would breakdown if the cross tabs showed government employees who still had jobs or are at home but getting paid as if they were working vs. everyone else.
I bet the keep the lockdown numbers would be about the same.
