Did you know:
If you do get any sort of malware and cannot recover. Contact your nearest NSA data center for a complete back of everything on you laptop.
LOL

Logged in all browsing accounts the same as before.
Absolutely nothing has changed except running 10 times faster.

Sent you details in private mail.
Back up your registry before editing it.
Although changes are pretty easy.

I do not need it on this surfing for fun computer.
I have a separate computer for all business transactions.
It is disgusting how slow the computer runs with real-time anti-virus.

Why should I care about BIOS date?
All I care is laptop runs 10 times faster than with real-time Defender running.

Why do I need security to log on to Free Republic?
Or to play Bridge on BBO?
Or to check stock prices?
Or to browse for prices of cruise deals or merchandise available on-line? If I decide to actually buy something I switch to my business computer.

Just made 4 simple changes in Registry.
Now I am actually enjoying browsing the internet.
It is displaying screens faster than my 80 year brain can think.

Too bad you couldn't go back to Windows 7. I'm still using it with no problems or lag.

Yeah Windows 7 was faster than the out of the box Windows 10. But with the registry changes I made, the Windows 10 is running faster than Windows 7.
It is running ridiculously faster. Almost instantaneous display of new windows.
And I can get updates on W-10 and the upgrade was free.

Old second hand Dell laptop with HDD. It is crazy fast now after stopping real-time Windows Defender.

Not too wise to run internet with no AV. I’d turn it back on and upgrade to an SSD. As far as I know nothing speeds up a windows computer more than going from HDD to SSD. That way you’d have the speed AND the protection. js
