Truth is I did buy a lot off of amazon that i would usually get at another store.
They get a ton of extra business if everything stays closed

Major retailers come and go. One I can think of as a modern example is Sears. Once king on the mountain, in terms of retail sales, now near extinct.
Walmart helped crush Sears.
Amazon is crushing others and putting pressure on Walmart.
Something will come along and put Amazon in its place.
One thing that will kill Amazon for sure is AOC’s green new deal. And, by coincidence, that little rat cannot stand Amazon.
Even Bezos said, Amazon probably only has about 30 years.
I crossed paths with the pipsqueak a while ago. This was right before Amazon announced its new headquarters. I would guess his height is about 5’ 4” with boots on.
He was looking around all squirrelly for the politician he was about to deliver the bad news to, and they even sat about 10’ from where I was eating. They came in on an off hour. It was around 4pm.
Although at least he was not annoying as Tim Cook that was testing me to see I recognized one morning. Naturally I ignored him as if was pest. The only reason I got his attention is because when he walked in (I was facing the door ) he saw me on an iPhone.

I’ve had zero amazon purchases since lockdown started.
Amazon is my last choice not my first.
My daughter lives in a small town in CA. and the nearest box stores are a good 40 minutes away. She only has a high end grocery store which is quite small. She’s been ordering paper towels and toilet paper from Amazon.
My husband and I are ordering lots of books.
the only time I use Amazon I use it as a product search engine l see where they are getting it from and then get it directly
I cut Amazon out of my life almost 2 years ago and haven't missed it. I'll see if a company is working through Amazon and order directly from them.
There are so many retailers with internet websites. I'd rather pay a little more and wait a few days longer then put a penny in the pockets of that pumped up steroidal freak.
We live in rural area also. The PO delivery man returns large Amazon packages to the PO (and we have one of those lg mailboxes). We have to go to PO to get them.
The PO had a pile of pkges to be picked up by customers. I felt sorry for them
My parents are in assisted living. I use amazon to order stuff for them. And I am a kindle user.
Never bought a thing off Amazon.
Do NOT intend to do so in the future.

I know how to get it anywhere BUT AMAZON.

Exactly. Big mail order businesses are pushing HARD for the shutdown to continue. Small business are destroyed while they rake in the dough.

Jeff Bezos has created several GREAT American businesses, including Amazon, and AWS. He has reinvented retail, and the corporate computing landscape.
I thought conservatives were supposed to celebrate successful capitalists, and not bemoan how rich they are.
