If you want on or off this list, please let me know.
I got my baby eight years ago when I went to church and noticed a pat bed in the driveway of an abandoned house. On the way back I stopped and in the bottom was ONE baby kitten crying it’s heart out.
Fed her with an eye dropper and rubbed her butt to make her poop. No other kittens were around anywhere. She and I bonded quickly and she is still with me today.
Not long back another young kitten came into my barn, and now we also have bonded.
Wow are you serious, just that one kitten by itself? That’s just like mine, although mine was running around our lawn. So sad, I bet so many kittens die who are never rescued. I remember my brother found one that was so starving that it would not stop screaming or stop climbing up the pant legs of anybody that came close to him, it was absolutely a kitten that was in a panic but what puzzled me is why would this kitten equate humans with food in the first place unless someone fed him before? And if that’s the case, then that person must have abandoned the kitten which I find unconscionable.
We have seven of them. Six of them rescued from shelters. One, “Peanut’’, showed up at our back door about five years ago with her right hind leg busted clean in two . Poor thing was dragging it behind her. We took her to the vet and they put a splint on it hoping to fuse the bone back together but it didn’t take.
The leg had to be amputated. Hasn’t slowed “Peanut ‘’ down though. She runs around the house like a demon. We call her “Peanut’’ because she’s so little.
He’s a pretty boy. I’ve had cats with a very similar face, but different coloring.
I had a kitten called Peanut who was also the runt of the litter. A pretty little Calico that looked like her mom. She actually bulked up as she got older and wasn’t the tiniest by the time she reached 6 months or so. Sadly, she vanished one weekend when we let her out for her daily playtime in the yard. :-(
Ben Franklin's cat.
(Two thirds in) the kitten was trying to milk and found no nipple(s) to dine on. By the end of the video clip, you can tell the kitten wanted to move out of the protective arm and explore elsewhere.
(Ahem!) Men who love kittens and mothering them are so sexy. Just saying.....
