On 30 May 2020, a man brought an American flag to the Antida/BLM protest (later riot) in Portland. He is confronted and then sucker-punched by a man wearing a "F--- Trump" shirt. The mob rushed in to beat him. He never let go of the flag. Portland police did not help.

Couple years ago, in Portland, a free lance journalist, who had previously been beaten, did exactly that.
The police arrested him and he was charged with serious felonies.
It’s a Portland thing.
BETTER TO GO UNDER COVER AND BROADSIDE THEM WHEN THEY LEAST EXPECTED. Much like the fat black women that got broad sided by a punch in the side of the head after punching a white cop.

Butt, butt, butt it’s not the ‘blm’ folks. Outside agi-taters doing it. Probably ‘proud boys’ or ‘john birchers’ or some other white supremacy naught-Zee group trying to make blm look bad. Yeah, that’s it. Extremist right wingers. Yeah. Sadly, I have seen a LOT of non POC folks taking advantage of the clearance sales going on.
So the Portland police are basically saying just let Antifa be the only ones with a voice in the streets and there won’t be any problems.
This is always the end result of leftism:
They say they only want tolerance and diversity.
Then they end up protesting and counter-protesting anything that in favor of or that is against leftism.
Then they end up beating down the opposition.
All with the goal of being in leftist cities the only unopposed voice.
Then comes the end to diversity they don’t like.
They are then the new monolith.
As this weekend has shown us none of the protesters are out to eradicate violence.
When you see a video like this you put yourself in the place of the guy carrying the flag. You think this is America and you can safely go anywhere you choose. We know that’s not the case. We also know the police won’t protect you. This is a denial of of your freedoms and there are two sides to it. The first side is America hating people like Antifa, BLM and more generally all Democrats and the second side is government, that includes the police. They are corrupt all the way up to the top of the FBI. (And yes, there are some good cops, but how many speak out against their bad brothers?)
Some things are more than ‘obvious’
Shouldn’t bring a knife to a gun fight
You don’t tug on superman’s cape
You don’t spit into the wind
You don’t pull the mask of the ol’ lone ranger
And you don’t mess around with Jim
That the Police stood by and watched is not good either.
Say 10 or 20 police are attacked by a mob and ‘hundreds’ of people just stand around and watch..
(You do NOT have an obligation to ‘protect’ the police and in some cases you may even get charged with excessive force while assisting them but)
It would eventually get around to a ‘Kitty Genovese’ case while at first MSM would say the ‘innocent bystanders’ did the right thing.
What kind of message does it send to ‘Joe Six Pack’ when the POLICE refuse to protect you (even though you may be dumb and not think things out thoroughly) and even allow a mob to storm and burn their own ‘house’ with nary a shot being fired and the only ‘order’ given is to evacuate.

Portland has a distinct negative atmosphere and I’ve never liked it there. I used to travel there a lot and it was even like that in 90’s before Pantifa and all this other BS. Something just didn’t sit well in my gut whenever I was there. If one were superstitious, you’d almost thing the place was cursed (it is by liberals, but I mean on another level as well). Even Seattle as liberal as it is, doesn’t have the same feel.
That is the way it is.
