On Tuesday, Apple Music canceled the radio schedule for Beats 1 radio to support Blackout Tuesday, suggesting that listeners tune in to a Blackout Tuesday radio stream.
On launching Apple Music, users see a message that replaces the normal For You, Browse, and Radio sections. The page includes a Listen Together button that links to the aforementioned station.
In steadfast support of the Black voices that define music, creativity, and culture, we use ours. This moment calls upon us all to speak and act against racism and injustice of all kinds. We stand in solidarity with Black communities everywhere. #TheShowMustBePaused #BlackLivesMatter
Apple Music is searchable, but users cannot see the usual displays and links to new releases, featured videos, featured playlists, etc.
MacDailyNews Take:While we understand the sentiment, wed prefer there were a way for users to be able to access the normal For You, Browse, and Radio sections if they desire, since they are paying for the service the full service, with full functionality not a subset of what Apple wants subscribers to be able to do, see, and hear.
So, just dead air all day?
Reason #288 why I avoid Apple products like the plague.
Okay. I would have never known about this had I not read it here. I don’t use Apple Music nor will I.
It is nice to know who and what companies are into the Virtue Signalling crap, though.
If you want on or off the Apple/Mac/iOS Ping List, Freepmail me.

No need for record companies...
What products do you use? Microsoft?
That’s cool Swordmaker.
Unlike a LOT of Apple sycophants I will NEVER and would never buy an Apple product. Never owned one and NEVER will.
Between the weirdo freak Jobs and the current one, The hipster doofus’s that virtue signal their “Apple” everywhere they go, the closed-source software, the hipsters waiting in line for 24 hours to blow their second grand in one year for the latest i-phone i refuse to have ANY part of that ridiculous CULT.
but that’s just me...
Nice to know that Apple thinks so little of the cause that they're using them as a virtue-signaling cover to cut back on streaming.
Nor do I. I still dont like the limitation of choice that paying subscribers are having forced on them by virtue signaling corporations run by leftist, progressives snobs. The equipment is superb, but leave questions of what people hear on those devices to their customers, dont force choices on them, even for a single day.
I own a ton of vinyl records and a turntable that allows me to download music that I can then play through Bluetooth devices.
Technology can be a good thing for me. To HELL with supporting Stupid Companies that are run by some very vapid individuals.
Yes...and you can save your keystrokes.I know that Microsoft is just about as bad...but IMO Apple is just a little bit worse.
I didnt notice it before, but now its clear even rioting and looting is a corporate marketing function.
I do not have that Apple service, if I did I would quickly cancel. I like my SinusXM stations.. Don’t make me listen to stuff I don’t like.
So is your cell an android?
Unlike a lot of rants here i seldom have problems with the Microsoft OS....ever
Even if i did it still beats living in the apple concentration camp..
Hell, I still listen to WKFB AM 770 out of Pittsburgh,PA. Saturday is Frank Sinatra and friends from 12-3. Does one pay for a Apple music service?
Feeding the Reparations crocodile hoping that it eats them last.
Yes, Nike predictably is doing the same sht although less intrusively. This is why I buy my music outright and avoid Apple whenever possible. Google are no angels either, but at least it’s an open platform.
