The FBI and Department of Justice will investigate the hanging deaths of two black men in California

The FBI and California Attorney General's Office will now be monitoring the investigation of a man found hanging from a tree in Palmdale, Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said at a press conference Monday.

Robert L. Fuller, 24, was hanging from a tree early Wednesday. Fire department personnel who responded to the scene determined he was dead, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a statement. Fuller's death was described as "an alleged death by suicide."

The Department of Justice and the FBI announced Monday they will be reviewing the hanging death of Fuller as well as the hanging death of 38-year-old Malcolm Harsch -- both black males -- 10 days earlier in San Bernardino County.

There was also another hanging in Manhattan, then one in Houston (that later turned out to be Hispanic, and sent down the memory whole)

It's amazing to me how quickly folks will come to conclusions. Hanging suicides are not that rare. We had a kid do it about two blocks from us. He chose a very public spot right near a busy street.

This crap is getting exhausting.

That’s sad about the kid.

And the msm and deep state and dems WANT a LOT of violence and open rebellion so news will only get more provocative and jump to more conclusions.

In the end they will create the gangs of whites fighting back and then say “look we told you they existed!!”

Crazy times we live in.

Funny how the FBI and the DoJ only seem concerned about some crimes, and some supposed perps. Why even have elections?

Since so many public places have camera surveillance these days, I’m surprised nothing was picked up on camera in connection with all the cases.

It is expected that we would investigate, and not just assume these are all suicides.

But some people are already calling these “lynchings”, which just inflames people. And Facebook won’t label those as “fake”, even though there is no evidence.

From a suicide perspective, the outrage over these cases is damaging years of work trying to educate people about the risks of suicide. The biggest point made is that people who are going to commit suicide often show no outward signs, and worse, as they get closer to the act, they tend to get happier, because they are thinking their strife will be over soon. People see someone distressed, but then getting happier, and they stop caring or watching.

Then, they commit suicide, and it’s all “I can’t believe it, he was doing so much better”. Or in these two cases, it’s the families saying “he wasn’t depressed, he was happy, and he was planning his future, so this must have been a racist lynching, our boy would never commit suicide”.

Which COULD be true, but in most cases, this is what suicide looks like. And for a black person involved in the BLM movement, I imagine there is now increased pressure to commit suicide by hanging in a public place, and to leave clues that make it look like a murder, so that their “death” will have some “positive outcome”.

When was the last time a black man was lynched? Over 60 years ago. Sorry but this does not happen anymore as much as the media and race baiting Dems wants to drum it up again to promote their agenda. The simple fact of the matter is more many more whites die at the hands of blacks for racial and criminal reasons than the other way around. If they want to investigate something, investigate that.

I'd say this qualifies: James Byrd Jr.

From an NAACP site, although the writing is substandard for a professional writer.

“From 1882-1968, 4,743 lynchings occurred in the United States. Of these people that were lynched 3,446 were black. The blacks lynched accounted for 72.7% of the people lynched. These numbers seem large, but it is known that not all of the lynchings were ever recorded. Out of the 4,743 people lynched only 1,297 white people were lynched. That is only 27.3%. Many of the whites lynched were lynched for helping the black or being anti lynching and even for domestic crimes.”

“Was lynching necessary? To many people it was not, but to the whites in the late 19th century it served a purpose. Whites started lynching because they felt it was necessary to protect white women. Rape though was not a great factor in reasoning behind the lynching. It was the third greatest cause of lynchings behind homicides and ‘all other causes’.”

“Of the lynching that did not take place in the South, mainly in the West, were normally lynchings of whites, not blacks. Most of the lynching in the West came from the lynching of either murders or cattle thief’s. “

So, throughout modern history, over a period of 86 years, a total of 3446 recorded cases of black people being lynched. SOME of these were for actual crimes, many for perceived crimes, and many because the south after the war was still racist. The article doesn’t say, but I believe most of these lynchings were in the earlier days of that 80-year period.

No person deserves to be hanged for their race. But more blacks were killed in a single city, chicago, in the past 10 years than hanged in the history of the entire united states.

I was arguing with someone last year who said “but what about black-on-black” crime was like saying “black lives don’t matter”.

And I explained that, in fact, it was the one argument that was saying that the people who SAY “Black Lives Matter” don’t actually think all black lives matter, and that solving the homicide problem for blacks would have a much greater impact than stopping all police homicides of blacks; and if we DID manage to stop black-on-black murder, and cut the crime, we could actually reduce police presence, and also police would be less scared of interactions, and would use physical force less often.

Well, if it is a drug cartel, I am certainly HAPPY that the FBI is investigating, because we want to know if drug lords are sending death squads into our country to murder black men.

Hanging suicides from trees in public locations?! No. Those are not common, not saying never, but well outside the norm. And 4 in rapid succession doesn’t smell right. FBI investigation is the right call. Well it would be better if we had an investigative agency that didn’t have a 100+ history of corruption and political manipulation. But we don’t have one of those. So FBI will have to do.

In a way, maybe, the Byrd murder could be classified as a lynching.

However, there were only two perps: the Republican-dominated government of Texas saw to it that one of the perps got the death penalty (now dead by lethal injection), and the other got life in prison.

In the distant past, the outrageous lynchings by the KKK and other Democrats typically had numerous perpetrators and no subsequent criminal prosecution by local authorities.

The right to a fair trial is bedrock principle of Republicans, who oppose lynchings and other forms of “revolutionary justice” by democratic mobs.
