During the last two years of the Obama administration, some unusual purchases were made. Large quantities of ammunition were purchased, as were firearms, mostly for somewhat obscure agencies or agencies with no real need for such weaponry. Estimates are that over 1 billion rounds of ammunition were ordered, which resulted in making ammunition scarce for the normal civilian market.
Also significant was Obama's troublesome statement made during his campaign, as follows:
We cannot continue to rely only on our military ... we've got to have a civilian security force just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded. We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set.
What national security objectives? Surely, he is not talking about arming the civilian population, as he wants to disarm us. Why would he want such a "civilian security force"? Could it be that he realized he couldn't use the U.S. military to enforce his social dysfunction for multiple reasons? One is the Posse Comitatus laws, and another was the simple fact that the military likely would refuse his orders. Looking below, we can see he was arming agencies under his Executive Branch control.

I was going to say, there has been plenty of time to uncover this trail, if it existed. If there was real evidence as suggested here, I would think it would be high priority to sniff it out.
The only things missing in this Civil war are bullets flying.

Bureau of Engraving and printing: approximately $100,000 on firearms
U.S. Mint: almost $180,000 for ammunition
Bureau of Fiscal Services: approximately $672,000 on ammunition and firearms
Department of Agriculture: $1.1 million for weapons and ammunition
And at the time, no one questioned obama.
Jeff Davis emptied northern armories and transferred arms and munitions to southern states prior to the civil war. It would not be surprising to see the same move made again.
I have some experience in managing ammunition programs. The “Estimates are that over 1 billion rounds of ammunition were ordered...” are wrong.
And expensive hollow point ammunition is NOT used for ‘practice’
Enlighten us then... what was the actual amount and where did it go?
quite a few are pre-positioned around the house or in my safe !!
Do you know how to find the real information? None of the dollar amounts in the article would cover close to a billion rounds of ammo. But, ammo dried up on store shelves during this time. Why did that happen?

This was an attempt to cause ammo and weapons shortages. It worked to a certain extent.
If only Obama knew that riots would work better to that end...
The “civilian security force”, which by any other definition, is the replacement for the local law enforcement officers all over the United States.
A mighty lot like the “Sturmabteilung”, the Nazi paramilitary wing, that “kept order”.
Notice there was also a step ladder shortage.
They were needed to climb into bed after stuffing all those guns and ammo under it.

They don’t just stock pile all that, a lot of the bullets get used in training and target practice.
