Very late to this party/reunion ( I’m not here much anymore and don’t post much when I am ), but Happy 22nd Anniversary and it’s great seeing so many ‘98ers’ nics again! Those were the heady days of FR, when there weren’t endless stupid vanities, people actually posted facts/info/important things and we had funny weekend threads about childhood memories and the like, to lighten the mood.

Congratulations on your anniversary and continued FR presence

Joined 30 Mar '98, lurked for three months prior. First FR event attended was the Oct 1998 "March For Justice". Marched with my state flag in the opening event. Carried signs with signatures from Jim Robinson, Connie Hair (Clinton's a liar), Rep Bob Barr, Larry Klayman, Jonah and mother Lucianne Goldberg, Matt Drudge, Ann Coulter, Alan Keyes, CongressmanBillyBob.

Had extensive conversations with FReepers "Bonaparte" and "MrConfettiMan". On that windy day, followed by a man talking to his wrist.

Aaaah...exhilarating times!!!

Alas, now we live in 'interesting times'.

I enjoyed reading your thread, it brought back so many good memories to me. My son gave me a laptop in 1999 and it opened the world to me, especially after I found FR and joined in 2001.

I was among a group who created and posted graphics and I learned to create simple animations to amuse others. Most of all, I remember FR as being the very best at researching and gathering information when important events occurred and consider Jim-Rob's forum coding the best ever.

Glad you enjoyed reading the thread. So many class of '98ers visited and posted their own past and future anniversary dates so it turned into a celebration for all Class of 98 members!

Hey, I picked up a new family member today and plunked down my cash to complete my HnK line with a 416 today.

Nothing shoots like an HnK and my HK45 shot like a damn' dream. So glad I got it.
