Just how rich and famous would he be if he’d stayed in Africa?

I guess you could look at it that way, too.

I mean the glass is 9/10th's full of blessings, opportunities, freedom, etc., but all they can focus on is the little bit that is missing.

Another way to put it would be they drink to the full and then say, "My glass is empty!"

Hughley is a straight up racist, the only difference between him and the KKK is he’s Black.

Liberal’s are such a yawn. Do they ever think a new thought? Or move out of their comfort zones?

This crap has been rehashed a thousand times. We get it. Not perfect - just better than all the alternatives.

Yep. They are stuck on stupid. The Democrats are so babyish that they do not understand that nothing they do for what they consider to be the underclass will make them happy. They are like kids who cannot get enough candy. Pathetic.

If white people surrendered, most blacks would be dead in site of a year. Most blood and plasma donaions are done by whites, performed by white surgeons, so kiss any surgurys and fixing gunshot wounds. Most of technology is invented and perfected by whites. May hate our race, but in reality, outside of sports, drug dealing and crappy music, what the hell does your 13% of the population contribute to society? My suggestion is to pay reperations of $10 grand and a 1st class one way ticket anywhere in the world they want to live, with the agreement that you renounce your citizenship and never return back to the US for any reasons. Lets see how fast this talentless asshole signs up!

Americans didn’t create slavery. The British who created overseas colonies also sent slaves to those colonies to supplement the labor force. The slaves benefited mainly the upper classes who owned large properties and businesses, not the average American who were the ones who fought and died to be rid of the British.

The Americans created a system that allowed for the eventual elimination of slavery. Everyone in 1789, including those who owned slaves, like Washington and Jefferson, knew it was wrong and believed it would be ended at some point in the near future. That’s why the Constitution banned importing slaves after 1809. They thought, first stop the import of new slaves, then it will die out over time.

Washington and Jefferson inherited their holdings, their slaves and their system, from the British. Americans didn’t start the nation, and then say, “by the way, old chap, let’s have slavery”. They wanted to get rid of it, their writings make that clear. Slaveholders in 1789 just didn’t have the economic ability to do it themselves and continue running their operations. They may have supported a plan that eliminated slavery entirely for everyone, but absent that, they could not run their farms without slave labor when their competition was using slave labor.

So, yes, some founders had slaves while espousing freedom. But the sin was not theirs, and it was not even the sin of the British. It was humanity’s. While the British were shipping slaves to the Americas, the Barbary pirates were enslaving millions of white Europeans, making them sex slaves and eunuchs. Africans were enslaving Africans, Arabs were enslaving non-Muslims, Aztecs and Inca were enslaving defeated tribes, and Native Americans were enslaving each other. The Chinese and Japanese were probably doing it, too, I haven’t checked. But, what we set in motion was a nation and an ethic that eliminated slavery in our nation and then in the rest of the world.

That needs to be celebrated, not denigrated.

The moors were african.

They enslaved, colonized, raped and terrorized Europeans (White people) for 800 years before Europeans enslaved black africans.

Even after they were thrown out of Europe they continued to kidnap and enslave Whites into the 19th century.

Of course slavery still exists. I was talking about U. S. slavery that ended in the 1800s.

Indeed. Slavery as a US institution was abolished in the mid 1860s.
