This was in 1961, the calm before the later storm, I and my black JrHS class mates were 13-14 years old thrown in with 18-20 year males...targets. Quickly learned to strike first in confrontations where a beating was inevitable...never won any fights but I was no longer a soft target. BTW, my black mech drawing teacher on first day of class drew back his jacket to show his short barrel pistol to emphasis that any after school complaints about failing graded were inadvisable.
A letter from the principal and school nurse facilitated a transfer to a cross town HS the following year...as did more than half of my black JrHS classmates. Last white boy to attend that black HS.

White liberals have good intentions, but reality will one day smack them in the face - probably in the form of a black on white crime, be it minor or serious. BLM is not a benevolent organization, they want to tear down the country, I’d rather they not do that. In South Jersey around 1973 me and my cousin were the only white faces on the school bus. Even the bus driver was a black dude named Deek. However we never had one single problem.
I bought the domain at the end of February 2020, I thought that corona was going to explode. I had been thinking about building a data driven aggregate site for a while.
My site went live on May 3rd, before George Floyd. I built as an alternative to Drudge, that’s all. I used to visit drudge all the time, but the site was so annoying with the 2-minute auto refresh and obnoxious ads, I thought I could do it better from the technology side. Then along came G. Floyd, and all hell broke loose. I am burning the candle at both ends keeping site updated, working full time tech job, putting off the honey-do list etc.
Whats happened with Humble Gunner, he hasn't been around for two months...I hope nothing has happened to him.

You’re swimming upstream, given the way a 20+-year-old blog/social media site like Free Republic is sinking like a rock in the website rankings relative to new blog/news/social media sites like Breitbart, Town Hall, Red State, et al. and another thing - I went to USMC boot camp in 1986, graduated as platoon honor man, went on to 5811 school - got out 6 years later, went to engineering school on GI Bill getting a whopping $400 per month - now working in tech.

In my experience there are two types of people:
—Folks who pay attention to what is happening around them at all times. They will notice changes (positive and negative) and act accordingly.
—Folks who are blinded by their beliefs/ideology. They ignore what is happening around them when it does not fit the template. They are a danger to themselves and others.
