A friend works in a gas station an hour west of Pittsburgh. Called me Friday night asking are there protests happening in town? No, I replied, why? Had twenty or so customers Friday evening, all black, all dressed in black, in their 20s and 30s, cold demeanor, didn’t have Giant Eagle customer cards, no-one in their family did, didn’t know what they were. Bought gas, and beverages, and cigarettes. Next day the protests included harassing and intimidating outdoor diners.
