Broccoli, cauliflower and winter squashes are vegies I buy at market...cuz they’re cheap and last a long time. If I had more room, I might grow them. Alas...

Lots of peppers here too and I am still picking tomatoes. So it’s greek salad today and flank steak with grilled shishito peppers and salad greens tomorrow.

Its been a chill week, so the veggie garden has slowed. Tomatoes, cucs, eggplant still producing, just ripening slowly. Peppers didnt do well this year. I think hubbys watering system drowned them earlier. Harvested basil, thyme and mint and am drying them in the garage. I have the best smelling garage!

I’ve seen a few Mantis this season - one was in my greenhouse, the other on my chair on the porch where I like to sit and read and watch the clouds.
I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen them - must’ve been a good year for them with all the rain. ;)

Uh-oh . . . You never should have planted those mysterious Chinese seeds.

LOL! I have an Aloe Vera named, ‘Audrey.’ She pops out babies like nobody’s business. She hasn’t tried to eat me - yet! ;)

Day Number FIVE of the Rain/Hostage Situation! Enough, already! 3" so far - still overcast today, but rain is supposed to move out. I'd like to check on my late-crop of raspberries - I have a feeling they've turned to mush. :(

taking the dogs for a way.
ROFLMAO at me. Thanks for the check, deport? My laugh of the day thus far. Can I blame it on auto-fill or old age?
Are your papers in order, deport? : )

The Tuscan Bella Rosa tomatoes are so popular. Heinz cans them for the devotees.

I just keep them in my pantry, in their packages in a plastic shoe-box sized container.
Don’t freeze seed - if there’s the tiniest bit of moisture, they can crack.
This isn’t for long-term storage; just for next year. Germination should be just fine.
Ellendra can explain about long-term storage if you’re interested.

Humidity has dropped from 94% @ 9 am to 68% at 12:30. The sun is peeping in and out ..... should be out more & more as the day goes on. What a great day, compared to what we could be having.
The praying mantis is still hanging out on the hummer feeder - I think its got an “ant buffet” going on.

Well, after the rapidly spreading disease I posted in a month ago that overall devastated this densely-packed garden - though the fruit was abundant the healthist yet - plus I scratched the lense on my cheap camera, I am happy to report that most of the plants are surviving and producing new growth, though the growing season is coming to an end. And a brother-in-Christ gave me an old phone which I can take pics with, thank God.
The garden went from this (7-10):
And this (7-10):
To this (8-21):
And this (8-21):
To this (9-12):
-
And this, in which you can see a transition:
Sorry for not getting the same scenes in comparison but the sun was shining bright on the front and i am new as using this camera phone.
