I’m in the midst of the California wildfires - I’m not getting the flames, I’m getting the smoke and ash fallout. The smoke is making the skies overcast so it a bit cooler and the plants like that after the brutal heat wave we had last week.
Last week’s 115 degree heat was hard on my garden but I only lost one salvia from my bee garden. There was also some drop-off of figs from my fig tree.
Today looks to be a bit clearer so I’ll be able to work outside again.

Praying for all the people in California, Oregon, Washington, and where ever those fires are. Last time it was this hot was in the early 1900s, IIRC-from the article I read.
