Crocodile in Thailand caught and cooked after brutal attack
AsiaOne ^ | SEPTEMBER 18, 2020

Locals in Rayong's Muang district hunted, killed and then ate a two-metre-long crocodile on Thursday (September 17) after it brutally attacked another resident.

Yongyut Hararat, 52, was fishing in a canal when a crocodile suddenly pounced on him and bit off his right arm.

The victim was eventually saved from the reptile's death grip when his friends jumped in.

Yongyut, who was taken to the hospital immediately, was reported to be in stable condition.

The victim's friends, who hunted and killed the crocodile, said they decided to cook and eat the animal out of revenge.

Villagers believe the crocodile may have escaped from a crocodile farm nearby which has gone out of business.

Kitty Forman: Why are you really here?

Burt Sigurdson: Well, we had a reversal of fortune.

Bea Sigurdson: Tell them what happened.

Burt Sigurdson: I bought an ostrich farm.

Bea Sigurdson: Tell them what else happened.

Burt Sigurdson: It was next to a coyote farm.

Red Forman: Great story. See you at Christmas.

Bea Sigurdson: He lost all our money.

Burt Sigurdson: We had to sell the house in Phoenix, which is why we're here.

Red Forman: An ostrich farm, Burt? Who the hell wants to eat an ostrich?

Kitty Forman: Coyotes, apparently.

I see they pixelated the croc to protect its identity.

I have had great tasting, easy-to-chew alligator. I have also had very hard to chew alligator that tasted mediocre, at best.

When you fear you will choke if you try to swallow the poorly chosen tendenous mass, rather then easily eaten muscle, don’t swallow—just spit it out.

Taste like chicken.

When my father did his second tour in Vietnam, he used to tell my brother and I stories of how they used a jeep to run over pythons and how they would cut them into steaks and eat them.

Anyhow, I digress.

Dear Conservative mind:

I almost gagged while reading about the “poorly chosen tendenous mass that tasted mediocre, at best.” while remembering a US Southern family dinner a form of unknown meat was presented....I absolutely did not care for the taste or texture and then I found out it was testis.

My stomach heaved, I couldn’t breath and I just sat there as tears dripped from my eyes. Once more composed, I exited and threw up. Gads I remember it still some 50 years later.

I never understood the hunting and killing of a wild animal that attacked a human. That is what wild animals do.

I recently spent two months traveling in rural and metro Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. Snake and alligator would be mild in comparison to many of the street vendor and restaurant foods, especially in Cambodia.

I took pictures of the food. The roasted insects and scorpion were common, as well as rat, snake, dog, monkey. What I thought were potato chips were fried fish skins.
