I’m writing as a somewhat lapsed Protestant with agnostic leanings. Never, ever have I favored abominations like this. This, and the attacks on Confederate statutes here, are nothing but pure evil attacks on our history and Western civilization itself. May the pure evil perpetrators roast in Hell.

And even in my younger years when I was quite agnostic...I always knew this country needed Christianity to survive.
I think it is the way putin is thinking about Russia.
I do not believe he is a true believer (i could be wrong) but he does TRULY believe that Christianity is needed to save Russia.
The attacks on the confederate statues sickened me.

I have known strict and proper Catholics and Protestants who did horrible things and allowed horrible things to happen behind closed doors.
I don’t judge or even try.
That’s God’s job and he’s MUCH better at it than me :)

The Confederacy wasn’t composed of choir boys. But I never advocated destroying or vandalizing their statues.
You want to venerate them, buy a piece of private property and put them on it.
