Was at the VA this morning and I was talking to a Vietnam vet, he stated he never wears a mask and that when confronted he threatens to sue under the 1964 civil rights act .....about not discriminating due to race creed or color.... claimed they always back off
This woman is no conservative. Conservatives respect property rights. Pandemic or not, a store wants you to wear a mask, wear a mask. Or shop somewhere else.
It’s not a whole lot different than a restaurant that wants you to wear a tie. Wear a tie. Or go eat somewhere else.
Also, let’s throw private property rights out the window while we’re at it. If 7-11 can require people to wear a shirt and shoes, Sprouts can require people to wear a mask. They could do so outside a pandemic as well any time they like. And if anyone doesn’t like their dress code, they can choose to shop elsewhere.
Some restaurants I go to require nice dress pants, a button down shirt, and a tie. What kind of idiot Karen would I have to be to march in there calling for the manager because I want to wear raggedy jeans and a t-shirt because “IT’S MUH RIGHT”. This just makes us look as ignorant, ridiculous, and childish as the woke leftist idiots screaming about their right to free healthcare and college.
It’s that exact same entitled attitude. No thanks.

I spoke with a store owner about this. He said that he doesn’t really care if we wear masks or not. He simply put the sign up and reminds people about it to cover his butt.
It’s all well and good.

Now, what about the store is is compelled under under to require masks?
They don’t /want/ you to wear a mask (compassion) they don’t /want/ to be shut down (fear).
Then, when you “shop somewhere else, you find out ever shop owner fears for their business and is REQUIRING a mask.
What do we do then?
Force our neighbors out of business from lack of customers?
Who is the State?
Who are the Statists?
Statist = Just do what the government says and no one gets hurt. It’s for your own good.
Just.
Don’t.
Comply.
Seems simple enough.
If you refuse and the police arrive, the charge will be trespassing.
The stupid is strong with this one.
1- She equates a mask with religious garb. isn’t.
2- She tries to trick people into thinking that her not wearing a mask is because of a disability. Viz, asking ‘what accommodation’ and ‘as required by law,’ when she knows it is anything but.
3- If she doesn’t like a store’s policy, change it - or don’t shop there.
Conclusion: she is a Karen.
Not all vets are like this moron.
I never understand how someone trained to follow orders obediently without questioning them can - at the same time - disregard orders to mask up.
You raise a fair point. The stores, by and large, are not coming up with this mask policy on their own. They are being compelled to do so by Big Brother.
But my previous comment still stands. If a store - for whatever reason - has a certain policy, follow that policy or go shop somewhere. Respect property rights.
And if you don’t like Big Brother’s mandate, by all means resist! Resist in public parks, on sidewalks, and at government buildings. But resisting while on someone else’s private property - that’s aiming at the wrong target.
Remind the business of this and then threaten to spread the word about how you were mistreated at their store.
That is about all you can do.

True. Remember last week all those FR threads about that Karen who was tazed and arrested outside at a kids football game for refusing to wear a mask?
Thing is... she wasn’t arrested for not wearing a mask. But for trespassing.
