45 yrs this Sunday......one adult dtr very gracious towards us, one adult son kind of a cluttered life and he rarely thinks of cards or calls....one dtr at home with aspergers will sometimes make her own card for us but she also will buy me a starbuck tea once in a while, or a book from the store...

My parents 53 years. Would’ve been 54 the other week. Constitution Day.

They weren’t even married until almost 30, either.

45 year anniversary is today. Our adult son died two years ago and our adult daughter lives 5 miles way. She sees us several times a week.

But my wife and I have decided to live apart for the time being. We're not divorcing or formally separating but we need some fresh air.

We don't fight or argue but we need a break. We're both in our seventies and just need some time away from each other for a while. Things have gotten stale after so many decades together.

Some people will say it's unfortunate but after almost a half a century together, it's time to recharge our batteries.

We've agreed to do this amicably and without drama or acrimony. We both need some time apart to fill up our sails with air again.
