Would you mind posting this story for me as someone who wishes to remain anonymous. "Someone I love was approached by a homosexual in the church, although he escaped. The lure was porn--pictures of women. A young man of lesser character might have hung around, and taken the bait.
We teach our children not to let anyone touch them, but we don't teach them to avoid adults who show them pornography. This is probably the number one way perverts attract young boys. Pornography is titilating and exciting, and the young boy's defenses are down. Eventually, guilt sets in, and he does not feel free to escape.
I have since learned of two others who were approached in similar circumstances."
This drags up another memory for me. As a Boy Scout, we had an assistant Troop Leader who was fun to be around, always joking and palling around with us. He was a great guy (or so I thought).
When I was 17 (late 70's), out of the Scouts for awhile, some friends of mine dragged me along to a "party" at some dudes house. Turns out this guy was one of the roommates there. He gave us beer, really more than my friends and I could handle at the time. After we were giggly and stupid, he brought us upstairs and showed some of the most ghastly porno movies you can imagine. Think, "non-human-beings." We quickly left. I had forgot about that until this mail triggered it. I am very tempted to post this guy's name right here.
Why are you asking rational questions about inherently irrational acts?
I guess it wasn't clear, but the person approached was a male, his story told to a woman, and the woman asked me to post it.
Hope that clears it up!
