leveling the electoral national playing field

TOPICS: Hawaii; Parties; U.S. Congress; U.S. Senate
KEYWORDS: elections
I live in Hawaii and am frustrated by the way national elections/states results are announced. Because of this:

I think there are two issues that must be resolved so that the nation becomes a level playing field and the republican party has a chance to turn the blue west coast states red. (Of course a lot depends on stemming the hordes of illegals selling their votes to the highest bidder and getting a handle on ACORN stealing elections, but those are different stories.)

Every state must legislate new primary rules so that ONLY republicans select our presidential nominee. It is a disgrace to allow democrats and the media to cross into our primaries and select our nominee. Also, we need a FEDERAL law to the effect that there is a Uniform Poll Closing Time ()UPCT) bill.

This would mandate election poll closing times as such: ALL states much be open the weekend prior to the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November but close like this: New York and east coast states close at 9:00 pm; Illinois, Michigan and midwest states close at 8:00 pm; Colorado and mountain states close at 7:00 pm; California and west coast states close at 6:00 pm, Alaska close at 5:00 pm, and Hawaii close at 4:00 pm. This would allow those of us in the west to vote for who we WISH to rather than already KNOW who has won because election results are already known throughout the nation in states to the east of us.

Think of it like this: Folks like to root for the underdog, but they vote for the already known winner.

Care to respond? Thanks for allowing me to post this info.

California might go the opposite way if Prop 14 passes.

Its a 3rd world hellhole anyways

California (and New York) are winner take all electoral states. If they were not, there would be no liberal presidential candidates.

I’m all for voting one day and getting the state by state results the next. The only reason we do it the way we do now is for media ratings.

In Detroit they use the results to get an idea of how many votes they need to tilt the state Democrat. They’ve even been ordered to stop waiting for results before giving their precinct by precinct tallies but they ignore the order and do as they please.

A lot of C-4 ought to level the playing field pretty well.
;)

Did you know the first word in any sentence should be capitalized?

Well, we already have the SEIU thugs and the New Black Panther Voter Intimidation Party to level things. No problem.

A thread title shouldn't be capitalized?

It's wrong. Illiterate.

Downright lazy and ignorant.
