CHEYENNE, Wyo. — U.S. Sen. Mike Enzi said Thursday he will continue to do what he believes is right, even if it's not popular, as he faces a Republican primary challenge from Liz Cheney.
Enzi has kept a low profile since the daughter of the former vice president announced her campaign Tuesday. In a news release Thursday, Enzi said many people have been calling and emailing to offer their support.
He said his focus remains on the job he was elected to do.
"When the time comes, I am confident the people of Wyoming will vote for my results, dedication, legislative experience and hard work for the state," he said in the release.
"I promise to continue to do what is right. Sometimes that isn't what is popular," Enzi said.

I think she’s running because she’s entitled. Too bad, because I doubt she’s any more conservative than he is—in fact, probably less conservative.
And like all those sons and daughters of political privilege, if she ever gets in, she’ll be in for life.

I once shook Hannity’s hand and said nice to meet you and I think he said something like “Thank you sir you’re a great American” I was a young man and pretty stoked that someone besides a condescending teacher called me “sir”. I was like 10 years or so ago so I’ve washed it thousands of times since then but it’s still not enough, with all the GOP-E butts he’s wiped I’ll never get that hand clean.

More concern to me is that Mark Levin endorsed Liz Cheney, and a bunch of freepers seem to think his endorsements are infallible (so how’d those Orrin Hatch & Jeff Flake endorsements in GOP primaries work out, Mark Levin fans?)
I wonder if Levin is aware Liz Cheney is supporting the gaystapo. Many freepers seem to think only her sister Mary is pushing it, and thought it was a smear against Liz unless they were presented with the facts.
Liz’s biggest hope is that conservatives aren’t paying attention. It’s worked for her friends in the past.
I can’t quibble with any endorsements of Hatch and Flake due to deficits with their challengers. Hatch’s challenger Lillianquist was a moron (he’d work with dems for “revenue enchantments) and the inexperienced Wil Cardon could have lost the general in AZ. I don’t think I made an endorsement in either race. Neither was competitive anyway so it doesn’t matter.
“The great one” (As that pimple Hannity calls him) can SHOVE this endorsement though.
