State Representative Sheila Butt (R-Columbia) announced Thursday she is endorsing U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) for president in 2016.
Its time to stand for our country and foundational principles, including the rule of law, Butt stated in a press release. Senator Cruz has a consistent record of fighting for the principles on which our country was created. After meeting with Senator Cruz and his team, I am convinced he will fight until the end to restore the Tenth Amendment, tackle our national debt, provide unwavering support to Israel and our allies, and restore the balance of power in Washington.
Butt also said she intends to work directly with Cruzs campaign and run as a delegate to support him at the national Republican Party nominating convention.
Retweet if youre ready to #MakeDCListen! Butt tweeted Thursday afternoon. Rep. Sheila Butt endorses Ted Cruz for President!
Tennessees Republican primary will be on Super Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Fifty-eight delegates are available from Tennessee.
Is she one of the Butt sisters?
Good, but that name bothers me for some reason. I had a lot of problems growing up with my name-endless joking and more, but, but that was nothing compared to but, I mean Butt. Did I get that right?
Standing up for the rule of law when he wants to increase H-1B visas by 500% and offer a path to citizenship for illegals?
We have some politicians with really odd names.
I remember that song.
Im surprised people picked on you for your name; you seem like such a fun guy. (Sorry... I had to.)
I wonder if she is related to University of Michigan Tight End, Jake Butt.
Is she one of the Butt sisters?
..............................................
Her sister is Bertha.
It’s a joke name, Sir, like Bigus Dickus.
He’s got a wife, you know.
I have a lot of admiration for a person who, even in the face of having a sort of naughty name, goes ahead and tries to live their lives to the fullest anyway. (Ignoring the jokes & barbs, honoring the parents who wear the names justifiably proudly or the husband who honors his parents.)
