Michael Patrick Carroll looks to Lone Star State for next Commander-In-Chief.
MORRIS PLAINS, N.J. - Outspoken New Jersey Assemblyman Michael Patrick Carroll has formally announced who he's endorsing for President Of The United States, and the candidate has no New Jersey ties.
It was announced Monday morning by Ted Cruz's campaign that the decades-long New Jersey legislator endorsed the Republican candidate from Texas.
From the statement:
"I am proud to have the support of Mike Carroll," said Cruz. "Mike is indicative of the caliber of leaders who are joining our campaign nationwide. A solid consistent conservative who understands and defends the Constitution and our conservative principles."
"New Jersey has no better friend than Ted Cruz," said Carroll. "We pay some of the highest federal taxes, and get the least back. President Cruz's proposed tax cuts will be a huge benefit to New Jersey residents. His flat tax proposal will do more to stimulate economic growth than any President since Reagan."
"For the last eight years, we've been in a long national malaise, caused by a President who ignores laws he dislikes, refuses to compromise, considers his political adversaries his enemies, and has brought a level of vindictive partisanship never before seen in all of American history," Carroll continued. "President Cruz will enforce the law, work on every front to reduce taxes, cut spending, pare back regulation, increase freedom, and produce prosperity."
"Ted Cruz brings a better understanding of the land and of the judiciary than any President in history," Carroll concluded. "He understands that the Courts exist to apply the law as the people, or the Legislature, give it to them, not to make it up as they go along. Unlike President Obama, who appointed politicians to the bench, to rule by decree, President Cruz will appoint judges, like Justice Scalia, who understand the appropriate role of the judiciary."
Carroll is part of the legislative team in District 25 that represents 19 of Morris County's 39 municipalities alongside Assemblyman Anthony Bucco and State Senator Tony Bucco.
Carroll was one of four New Jersey assembly members who did not endorse Governor Chris Christie when he announced his bid for the White House in June 2015. Carroll beat Christie for the assembly seat in 1995 and has been re-elected to subsequent terms ever since.
No chance to win NJ ...
No way he wins New Jersey. Also I think these endorsements need verified. Cruz has been saying he is getting endorsements that he isn’t. More lies. No surprise.
Chuck Norris for example ...
What to you think about Team Bush joining up with the “outsider principled conservative” Ted Cruz to help facilitate the Bush dream of a neocon New World Order as authored by CFR globalist Hedi Cruz?
My assemblyman...have always voted for him...
I saw he got the coveted Megan McCain endorsement also
Well, that should put him over the top...
Was Chuck Norris a lie? I hadn’t heard that.
Meghan is basically a private citizen & blogger. What office has she held? If not for her father she’d be a poll dancer or waitress.
In a statement to WND, Norris said, I would like to clarify for the record that I have NOT officially endorsed any candidate for president, contrary to what has been widely reported in the media.

Thanks for the update. I only heard that he endorsed Cruz.
I don’t think these endorsements mean much anymore.
Carroll is a good guy, next district over from me. But he’s just like Ted, talks a great game but doesn’t get anything accomplished. NJ will be for Trump, heavily. He’s one of us...
"The 'Walker, Texas Ranger' star and famed martial artist will hit the campaign trail for the GOP candidate this weekend, according to an invitation from a pro-Cruz super-PAC," the report said. That event is the Keep the Promise PAC, it said.
Cruz and Carly started in the Rove/Bush stable decades ago. They have known each other for decades
Yes, that is how Team Cruz rolls. They are fine with lying if the lie will buy a few more votes.
"Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged"
I tried to post the article but it got pulled so fact it had to be a bot that pulled it. I try to find another acceptable source.
