New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez may be planning to meet with presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump just days after insisting she wouldn't be bullied into voicing her support for him.
Reps for Martinez recently revealed she hopes to soon chat with Trump, presumably in hopes of determining if the two might be able to work together for the benefit for the party.
"Governor Martinez is encouraged by Mr. Trump's commitment to protect New Mexico's labs and bases, which are not only important to our state but also our national defense," Martinez's press secretary Mike Lonergan said in an email....

If there has to be a minority VP nominee, I would prefer Martinez to Ms. Haley. Otherwise, not so much

Trump is meeting with Governor Rick Scott of Florida on Tuesday...I would not read tea leaves on any of this he is just meeting the various governors and finding out their feelings on various issues...
She could help with Latino and women’s vote. Is she a rino? Would she be strong enough to take over if (God forbid) anything should happen to The Donald?
After learning that Nikki Haley compared Trump to that boy who shot nine black churchgoers in South Carolina, I want nothing to do with her. Nikki may as well be a Democrat Socialist too, I’m that let down by her. If she wants to go down the same drain as Romney, then stay on board the Vichy-RINO Toilet Express!

Haley was already too RINO for me and also not eligible.
Her parents were still Indian nationals at the time she was born.
Children of foreign nationals are not natural born citizens.
Jindal, Haley, Cruz, and Rubio are are all ineligible. Because they were viewed as the future of the party they were the reason the GOP went along with the Keyanesian Usurpation of our current ineligible usurper.
He is currently polling higher than Romney did with Hispanics.

Rush said something in passing late last week that this dust-up would work out just fine, which is why he didn’t dwell on it.
Ms. Martinez is a good person for Trump to have on his side, and she has tried to do some good things fairly recently, like ending drivers licenses for Illegals, but blocked by the local Dems.
Yes, he is polling higher amongst Hispanics than Romney. However, the value of the Hispanic vote is overestimated.
I remember Ann Coulter pointing out after the 2012 election that had Romney gotten something like 70% of the Hispanic vote he would have still lost - but had Romney gotten 5% more of the white vote, he would have won.
Trump is smart trying to get more of the white vote. He will do no worse among Hispanics than Romney and with his stands on illegal immigration and trade deals, could get the highest percent of the black vote since Reagan, who got over 20%.
