Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson said he is comfortable with his decision to run even if he turns out to take votes from Democrat Hillary Clinton — securing a victory for Republican Donald Trump.

Yahoo Global News Anchor Katie Couric asked the former New Mexico governor to address a concern among some voters that most third-party candidates hear on the campaign trail: the possibility that his presence on the ballot would result in a spoiler effect.

“If, in fact, your candidacy helps Donald Trump become president of the United States, are you comfortable with that?” Couric asked....

I agree that this guy is bound to pull a lot more votes from HilLIARy than he ever could from DTrump

Yes, I hope he stays in the race for that reason.

This isn't the first time the Libertarians have admitted they are more appealing to Democrats than Republicans. An email from the party a few days ago remarked that they were scaring the Democrats by taking away their voters.

Maybe. What he isn't going to get is a substantial number of Libertarian Party votes, says the guy who has been a party member since 1986.

understood.
this third party guy looks quite leftist, statist...not the kind of stuff “libertarianism” stands for

(except he sounded pro-drug-legalization)

I bet 99 percent of genuine ‘libertarians’ will NOT vote for him, its odd he’s that group’s candidate.... but he could pull quite a lot of HilLIARy and ex-Bernie votes I think

strange year, this. Most D’s resent or even hate HilLIARy being forced down their thoats, Trump can certainly capture a lot of their votes

His love for pot will pull a lot of the younger crowd that might go for Hillary. She better get on stage with a bong.

I love telling my lefty associates that they should look at the libertarian candidate because he is honest and he ran a pot company. That shocks them. Or, I take the approach, I can’t vote for Johnson because he uses marijuana! Or, he ran a dope company!!!

They immediately get defensive of him. lol
