Trump electrifies Albuquerque crowd
The Santa Fe New Mexican ^ | October 30, 2016 | Andrew Oxford and Robert Nott

Without spurring riots or taking even a single jab at Gov. Susana Martinez, Republican presidential nominee Donald J. Trump jetted into New Mexico on Sunday night to rally his base and demonstrate he could speak to the issues of a state pollsters say Hillary Clinton appears likely to win.

Trump roused a diverse crowd that packed an airplane hangar at the Albuquerque International Sunport. He reiterated many of the same talking points he has used around the country in recent days, but also railed about health insurance companies leaving New Mexico or raising their rates to levels he called unaffordable for many. He drew some of his biggest cheers of the night when he reiterated his promise to build a wall on the state’s southern border.

The visit just nine days before the election and to a state with only five votes in the Electoral College left pundits scratching their heads...

New Mexico is all about mexicans and indians and displaced californians. I wouldn’t waste a moment there.

On top of that, Bugs Bunny always takes a wrong turn in Alba-quoy-kee.

The First National Bank building at the corner of San Mateo and central (66) is still the tallest building in that part of town.

A visit to New Mexico means that Trump has closed the gap in the state and is confident he will win there.

It means we need some more electoral votes. Assume Trump wins all the Romney states (206), as well as the closest battlegrounds, OH (224), FL (253), IA (259), and NV (265) we would still be 5 (or 4) short of victory.

Any of the states Trump is campaigning in provides a victory, CO (9), NM (5), MI (16), and WI (10). NH (4) and ME's CD2 (1) also provide victory. I would like to see VA (13) redeem itself.

Pray without ceasing that God will show us mercy and work this miracle before our eyes, to enable our nation to repent of its wicked ways and seek His face, to give grace and humility to Donald Trump and Mike Pence so that they are enabled to become our next President and Vice President, that our nation may prosper and be delivered from judgement, that we may be a blessing to all of our citizens as well as all of our neighbors in the world.

Who says “bigly”?>>>>>>>>>>>

The Donald frequently says “big league!”

It comes across as “bigly.”

He is the only president America will have , who actually has a deep affection for adverbs.

leftists think that there is all this racial animosity but in the West particularly, I think people, left to their own devices, get along just fine without govt interference...

Hispanics are a major impact in the west, especially the southwest....and people seem to get along, isn't that amazing...

When he says “big league”, I hear “big league”.

Drives me crazy when people misquote him as saying “bigly”.

I’ve lived it all my life. The racial card is not valid in Texas. I traveled the West and Midwest for 30+ years. Excepts for small pockets they are all alike.

Haha!

I don’t know why it bothers me. I was really embarrassed when GWB would say “nucular”, but in that case, he really was saying it!

The left will use every opportunity to cast us conservatives as ignorant knuckle dragging racist redneck morons who are so stupid we join cults and bitterly cling to our bibles and guns.

It doesn’t help that surveys “show” that people with a college degree lean heavily Democrat - a statistic that leaves me scratching my head - it doesn’t square with my own anecdotal evidence.

How, for example, can minorities be 80% democrat, people earning over $35k are republican, and yet those with a college degree or higher are democrat? It doesn’t add up, unless I missed something and the average minority has a more advanced degree than the average non minority.

More likely, the numbers are being cooked to reinforce the narrative that conservativism equals ignorance and hate - that we should be ashamed to be conservative.

In my experience, conservatives are the educated ones, the ones that know their history and current events, that have a solid understanding of the founding documents and the underlying principles therein.

Conservatives have the higher IQ, the better vocabulary, the better job, and are open minded, articulate and compassionate. While not thrilled with the Republican Party right now, conservatives generally vote republican because they understand democrats are Marxists.

Liberal democrats in my circles are more likely to be blue collar racists, or outspokenly non racists in the food services, hair solon and tattoo parlor set, work at an artsy shop or aspire to be a musician. Then there is the urban minority demographic, who don’t usually strike me as overly educated or particularly articulate.

The only demographics that show a proclivity for being highly educated, but yet koolaid drinking liberals are the professors of academia and the journalists. The Hollywood, musical and athletic stars are a strange mixture of uneducated, wealthy and liberal.

Even on college campuses and in high brow celebrity land though, it is the liberals in my experience who get stumped by simple civics questions such as how many states are there?, how many senators are there?, who is Vice President right now?, what were the unalienable rights?, what does ISIS stand for? and “point to the Ukraine on this map”.

Anyway, sorry for the rant, but I guess the attempt by the media to misquote Trump as saying “bigly” just feels to me like part of a larger leftist agenda and something I should push back against.

Trump is far from the media’s caricature of a boorish clown. He is far from stupid or uneducated. He’s one of those rare people who can easily adjust to all different social settings.

After winning the Oval Office, Trump’s next challenge is to unravel the liberal misinformation and brainwashing that has poisoned the public - conned them into thinking conservatism is ignorance and hate, big overreaching government equals compassion, and global warming and political correctness equals science.

Step one: Trump does not say “bigly”!
