Both the Clinton and Trump campaigns have hit the ground hard in Arizona, Florida, Nevada and Pennsylvania, and new CNN/ORC polls across the four states paint a picture of a tight race to the finish in critical battlegrounds.
Clinton holds a 4-point edge among likely voters in the historically blue-tilting Pennsylvania, and Trump tops Clinton by 5 with voters in red-leaning Arizona. Though both states tilt in the same direction as their 2012 results, the leaders' margins are tighter than their predecessors' final leads were in each state.
Florida appears to be as tight a contest as ever, with Clinton at 49% among likely voters and Trump at 47%. That's an apparent shift in Clinton's direction since the last CNN/ORC poll there in September before the presidential debates began, but still a within-margin-of-error race.
In Nevada, the poll suggests the race has also shifted, with Trump now ahead there 49% to 43%, with 5% behind Libertarian Gary Johnson, compared with a two-point Clinton edge in mid-October.
While that shift is statistically significant, it could be reflective of timing: The mid-October poll came at a particularly bad time for Trump in most polls, following the second presidential debate and the revelation of a tape in which Trump talked about sexually aggressive behavior toward women using vulgar language. The new poll comes at a challenging time for Clinton in many polls, with national and some state polling narrowing amid news that the FBI has obtained additional emails that could be relevant to their investigation of the private server she used while secretary of state....

I retired to SW Florida a year ago. My county is totally red. However, Hillary’s anti trump ads have been running non stop
FL is going Trump big.
It’s looking good.
Very good!
Haven’t seen many Hillary ads up here in NE FL lately. Were a lot during the Olympics and earlier in the fall. Trump is carpet bombing us now. LOL.
CNN trying to spin some good news for Clinton in their headline, as she's clearly sinking fast.
"Ignore PA/NV/AZ, look at her amazing 2-point lead in Florida!"
Trump ahead in NV but not FL. It doesn’t pass the smell test.
My sincere hope is that when this election is over, and everyone realizes what crap the polls were this year...and how they were the only story for much of the campaign...that they will also realize that they’ve been played.
Polls are now a campaign tactic...and nothing more than a tactic. They are designed to create “inevitability” or failing that “competitiveness”. Any relation to the actual truth of the state of the race is entirely accidental. Yet, they are omnipresent...just like soothsayers and fortune-tellers in the old days I guess...I would guess that at least 80 percent of the discussion of this campaign has been about polls.
And they are complete and utter fabricated bullshit. That is the realization that everyone should see next Tuesday night. And that will be very pleasing indeed.
CNN talking heads will be using their sick days.
Same with my county. Not sure why Hillary is putting so much ad money here unless delusion has now taken over.
Hitlery is worried about Florida. She and her thugs have been here non stop.
“Havent seen many Hillary ads up here in NE FL lately.”
She’s still carpetbombing the Tampa Bay area.
The BIG question for November 8th is: Will WHITE WOMEN betray America again, or vote with their men to save our future from tyranny?
Well, I can assure you my half-white half-Mex wife is voting Trump with her old man, she can’t stand Hillary. She is part of the monster vote, as her female colleagues are mostly AA, pro-witch, and she has only confided in me. She is constantly biting her tongue at work.
