Why Trump Allies Want To Talk Impeachment And Dem Leadership Doesn’t
The Huffington Post ^ | May 22, 2017 | Matt Fuller and Sam Stein

With President Donald Trump’s approval rating sinking and congressional Republicans pushing a deeply unpopular agenda, Democrats have a real chance to take back the House. But that opportunity is being complicated by one word that is coming up with increasing regularity on the midterm campaign trail: “impeachment.”

That’s the conclusion House Democratic leaders have reached through internal polling, and it’s one that top Republicans, including allies of the Trump administration, shared in conversations with HuffPost.

“In focus groups in swing districts and in Georgia-06 (where a special election is being held this June) ― where we do think Trump is underwater ― people still very much respect the office of the presidency and don’t like the idea of Democrats jumping to any conclusions on such a serious thing,” said Meredith Kelly, communications director for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, “even if they don’t necessarily like Trump or think he is doing a good job.”

The party in the minority always grapples with just how oppositional it should be in its effort to regain power. Rarely, however, has the concept of impeachment been so openly, and so early, discussed in the course of midterm elections. And that’s for a reason: Trump, with a seemingly daily appetite for controversy, has invited the focus. But, secondarily, some Democrats worry that by broaching the possibility, they risk ostracizing the swing voters they need to win seats.....

DC is Flight 93, the Swamp “impeachers” are the hijackers, and us Trump supporters are the passengers. We know what to do.

This is the 2nd story I have seen touting a Democratic comeback in 2018. But Drudge has a headline about dismal fundraising results for the DNC so far this year.

Angry Snowflakes aren't going to "get 'er done" by themselves. The real fear I have is that the GOP in Congress will piss off the base, inspiring them to stay home.

Their fund raising is an acknowledgment of the math for 2018, 2020, etc.

25 Dem seats up for grabs, 11 of which are very vulnerable.

Compared to 8 Republican seats and only 2 vulnerable.

The math is clear and when the economy starts to roar, Trump seats at least one more SCOTUS AND 150 Federal Judges, gets some more of his initiative promises passed, illegal immigration continues to shrink then Republicans will be buoyed to vote in larger numbers.

I expect Trump to start using the bully pulpit and call the American people to action and press the house to act boldly.

Once we increase our numbers in 2018 we will have even greater control of legislation, Federal Judgeships and the deep state bureaucracy.

Look for a landslide 2020 in Trumps favor and with an even greater representation it will then be time for redistricting, which improves our voting edge in 2022 and 2024.

The Dems should be screwed for the next decade but, I am never amazed at the RNC ability to snatch defeat from exhilarating victory.

Fortunately, the Turtle and Juan will be gone by then...

Forgot to add that before 2018 Trump will seat one more SCOTUS and another shortly thereafter and will have seated more than 300 Federal Judges by 2020.

If the Republicans were smart, and they aren’t, they would actually be surreptitiously (yes, I looked it up and there is no “e” or “i” after the “p”) encouraging the Democrats to go whole hog all out.

Sad sack, low life, Democrat,John “Obama/Clinton/Waters/Warren/Schumer, Pajama Boy” Ossoff, will lose his election on June 20th, but, the Democrat Party will suffer even more devastating losses in both the House and Senate in the 2018 Mid-Term elections. Forget the polls, folks...the Democrats will lose eight to twelve Senate seats and they lose between twelve to twenty House seats!!! End of this story!!!

Voters in Montana, vote Republican this coming Thursday, and help the country destroy the Democrat Party politically!!!

“In focus groups in swing districts and in Georgia-06 (where a special election is being held this June)

Demonstrates a total ignorance of GA-6. So Dems, why is your candidate down in GA-6 running as if he were a moderate Republican instead of the die in the wool hard core far Left Democrat he is? You know full well Democrats you have ZERO ability to win in 2018. That why your candidate is so busy lying about his agenda in your $10 million campaign of shameless reckless lying own here in GA-6.
