Jeb Bush took a cheap shot at president Donald Trump’s family by saying that after he (Jeb) lost the 2016 South Carolina GOP primary, he returned home to children who “actually love me, ” reports the Yale Daily News. This is yet another example of the Bush Dynasty not exactly covering itself in glory since Trump blew out Jeb Bush in the 2016 Republican presidential primary.
Ironically, after attacking Trump’s family, the Yale Daily News notes that Jeb “called for more polite political discourse, citing William Buckley Jr.’s ’50 style of rhetoric. Bush recalled watching Buckley’s famous television program, Firing Line, and admiring Buckley’s respect for the opposition, his wit and his hopeful optimism.”
Overall, Jeb’s talk was critical of the effect Trump has had on the Republican Party, how the president has shifted the Party away from Bush’s view of what conservatism should be. Bush called Trump a “Republican in basically name only” and said “If there was ever need for a Bill Buckley-like approach, to transforming conservatism in this country, it is right now....

Throw McCain in the political pile with the Bushes and Clintons, no difference whatever. They all want conservative votes at Election time, but you are trash the rest of the time, they get to make themselves look good with the press, “reaching across the aisle”, abandoning their proclaimed fealty to conservative principles and voters, and being rewarded for it with favorable media. The lot of them really believe in nothing and but for President Reagan, the Bushes would all be nothing.

I can recall when the media, I think O’Reilly asked him what is the single most thing about being president that surprised you. You know what his answer is?
“How easy the decisions are to make. It’s very clear in almost every situation. It doesn’t take much thought to decide. The decisions are pretty straight forward.” Or words to that effect.
I think of this every time, Trump makes what appears to be a very hard decision.
In short, Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Sr. rarely made any hard thought decisions. It was all status Quo and kick the can down the street for the next guy.
In 18 months Trump shows how to lead. He makes decisions and remarks on the spot, not via some committee or with countless people telling him what to say or do.
The man leads. You know where you stand. He fights back.
Think of the cowardly Bush hiding from the press.
I agree, I think about the Bushes with the same contempt I do of Obama, Clinton etc. Total useless, rudderless American leadership.
