John McCain wanted to give this speech about Senate dysfunction before his brain cancer diagnosis last summer.
Then, his longtime aide, speechwriter and friend Mark Salter got a call from McCain with a sudden urgency
"’You coming out here? What's the story,’” Salter recalled of his conversation with McCain. “And I said, ‘Yeah, here's what I want to say in the speech.’ And I said, ‘have you gotten the results back.’ You know, he goes, ‘it's not good.’"
Salter rushed to Arizona. They finished the speech on the plane back to D.C.
"They all stayed in their chairs for his speech. That had never happened in his career and it meant a great deal to him," Salter said.
McCain and Salter were already working on their seventh book together which instantly took a reflective turn.
"He wanted it to be more personal and to convey just how fortunate he believed he was for being able to serve this country for 60 years," Salter explained.
The result: "The Restless Wave."
This new book allows McCain to tie up some loose ends, publicly admitting for the first time that during his 2008 presidential run, Joe Lieberman was his first choice for his running mate....

I really only want to know how the heroic and brave tumor has struggled to survive its malignant and metastatic case of John McCain.
The guy is still a loser. He’s also still petty.
McCain would have lost worse in 2008 with Lierberman at his side than Romney did with Ryan in 2012. He would have been seen as a second-tier Democrat wannabe running against The Real Thing.

I doubt it.
He admits he can now speak his mind—because he doesn’t have to answer to the people that elected him to represent them. Think about that. That is something a sociopath would think to themselves, and he just comes out and says it. I guess that’s the effects of the illness. I wonder if the % of sociopaths in national politics approaches 100%.

Had he chosen Lieberman as his running mate, it would likely have been the most catastrophic loss in history, He could very well have lost all 50 states.
How do all these politicians live years with conditions that would kill an ordinary person in a matter of months?

Some of what I’m reading in all the various publications (a little here, a little there) I’m reading causes me to think perhaps there’s more to McPain’s involvement in this Russia crap than is being told.
I wouldn’t be surprised.
I think that he and Mr. Obama came up with the whole thing.
He talked and the AUTHOR wrote the book, because McClain's brain was rattled, so he takes the credit and did jack **** for the book..
I mean John did not make rough drafts in his own hand writing and then make corrections and etc. like a book writer would do...
He just told B.S. and Fairy Tales and another wrote the book..Just as I expected..
