The former Democrat contender for President was visiting Trinity College in Dublin, where she was picking up an honorary degree.
Speaking to students, Mrs Clinton, whose husband Bill was a former US President, spoke of the 1998 Good Friday agreement with mostly ended the bloodshed in Northern Ireland.
The pair were the first presidential couple to visit the country in 1995 before the Good Friday Agreement was signed, which helped to end three decades of violence in the country and the rest of the UK.
She said the Good Friday Agreement set an example for the rest of the world and was proof if what was possible when citizens came together to demand peace.
She said: "As the Brexit debate rages on, I continue to believe in the value of the European Union, and of a Europe that is whole, free and at peace.
"No matter the outcome of these discussions, Brexit should not be allowed to undermine the peace that people voted, fought and even died for.
The future of the Irish border is one of the most contested and debated issues facing negotiators in Brussels, with little insight into the conclusion at present
During her speech, she also cited the recent referendum over abortion laws in Northern Ireland, hailing the result as an "inspiring insight"....

If Hillary had a d**** she would be in constant agony from stepping on it so often.

She and her ilk would just love to give away our sovereignty and become part of the EU. IF she had become president, we would be well on our way towards losing our sovereignty
and someone there knows about the Clinton body count
uh, the article says she was happy at the abortion law passed in Northern Ireland, but actually it passed in Ireland, not Northern Ireland, which is part of the United Kingdom.
Different country.
Trinity College Dublin is a protestant school. Dublin is on Ireland.
Ireland is not part of the United Kingdom so has nothing to do with Brexit.
Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom.
Or do I have to read the entire article to see where she gave the speech?
The Blarney Stone was there to kiss her...
He caters to the mussies in the UK with great regularity. He got so "tough" with the UNHRC last week that he threatened to stop voting for their continual bashing of Israel.....in SIX MONTHS....if they don't play nice. The UK needs to get over their hate for Israel regardless of the millions of heathen they have welcomed into their nation and defend relentlessly.
Paper tiger.
How come a politician can’t go do a graduation speech and not only talk about the graduates and their accomplishments? They always have to “politicize” a speech by turning the subject about them and their beliefs. When are schools going to learn this and stop inviting these types of speakers. Others are mush better and are probably a lot cheaper as well.
"And every time they do it they are like a couple of drunks walking out of a bar for the last time. When they reach the swing doors they turn right around and go back in and say 'I just can't quite get there'."
President Bill Clinton, 1999...
nota bene Hillary, were watching you... 😳
Why would anyone pay to see and hear her?
To paraphrase politicians from Churchill to Rahm Emmanuel, "You never let a platform or a podium go to waste."
“Why would anyone pay to see and hear her?”
Funny, that is often a similar thought when I see mugshots of women busted for prostitution. I guess that is just one more thing the two oldest professions have in common.
Its interesting to me that directly after Ireland votes for abortions, Clinton shows up there. Shes drawn to the killing of babies.
LOL, no kidding!
Uh Hillary, people voted FOR Brexit.
Those two guys, in the protest pic, look like twins.
