Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell showered his wife, Elaine Chao, with praise Thursday night, over her confrontation with protesters who wanted the Kentucky Republican to answer for immigrant children being separated from their parents at the U.S. southern border.
Chao, who serves as transportation secretary, told the demonstrators to “leave my husband alone” as the couple departed an event at Georgetown University on Wednesday evening.
McConnell explained he told his wife to hop into the waiting car, but Chao leapt into action....

McConnell had polio, so I suspect he is suffering from Post Polio syndreome.
As for Chao: Some of us who had a career and were known by our maiden names (or first husband’s name) in our careers continue to use that name after we marry in middle age to prevent confusion.

I don’t think Majority Leader Mitch McConnel is mushy. He is going to shepard President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee through the senate. I believe he will do a good job.

Standing up isn’t something Mitch has a lot of experience with. It isn't *women* that Mitch stands to attention for, if the rumors about his, umm, departure from the Armed Forces are correct.
