What a summer the left is having
The Valdosta Daily Times ^ | July 11, 2018 | Gary Wisenbaker

The summer of 2018 is witnessing the eurosocialist Democrats’ coming of age, reminiscent of Hermie’s experience in “The Summer of ‘42,” where the late-adolescent teenager falls for a young war bride.

The summer ends, of course, and Hermie moves on. And that’s how the Democrats and left will roll as well.

The recent election of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a self-described Democratic socialist, to Congress prompted the DNC chairman to proclaim that socialism is “the future of our party.”

The pretense is off: the Democrats’ love affair with socialism is consummated.

As the Democrats and other eurosocialists grew to attain this new stature, they advocated the use of verbal abuse and the harassment of supporters of President Trump, members of his cabinet, and staff both in public places and at their homes

They cheered restaurants for refusing service to those who serve this Administration, harking back to the days of Jim Crow when the Democrats allowed color to be a basis of refusing service or admission to their fellow Americans.

Their flamethrower-in-chief, Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters, encouraged even more aggressive measures while members of the Hollywood elite suggested taking the President’s 12-year-old son, Barron, and putting him in prison with known pedophiles. Others advocated the killing of the President. Clearly sedition.

The Democratic leadership and mainstream media stayed mum. Equally despicable.

They have railed and justified their actions because they disagree with the President and his policies. Among other complaints, they are incensed that he followed Obama’s policy (where was the outrage then?) of separating children accompanying their illegal immigrant parents into protective custody. That President Trump issued an executive order ending the practice went unnoticed.

These aren’t just the natterings of a handful of malcontents, but the mindset of a movement, a movement supported by the Democrats, known as the Resistance Party.

And this is dangerous. The last time a movement acted on their hatred against a group because of who they were or what they believed was called “Kristallnacht,” when the German National Socialists Party reigned terror down on their Jewish citizens, 80 years ago this November.

Yes, the left and Democratic Socialists are employing Nazi tactics.

As the Russian collusion, Stormy Daniels, and other ersatz charges against the Administration dissipated like the morning mist before a rising sun, so has the family immigration issue, and Democrats need a new cause.

Then, it happened: Justice Anthony Kennedy announced his retirement from the Supreme Court.

And, just like that, the mainstream media and Democratic Socialist’s narrative changed from protecting illegal immigrant children’s lives at the Mexican-American border to preserving an alleged right to end innocent children’s lives in the womb.

The nomination fight has elucidated the vacuous nature of the left.

The Democrats have already announced their opposition to whomever the President’s nominee might be thus demonstrating their adherence to the paradigm of identity and single-issue politics over the common good.

One of the chief qualifications of a Supreme Court justice is an ability to ascertain whether a law or act passes constitutional muster in both its effect and application.

This is important, you see, because the Constitution is a document conceived to protect the citizen from unwarranted governmental intrusion on the citizen’s right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. It is not a document designed to limit the individual’s right to pursue those goals. Ours, then, is a government of law.

The Democratic Socialists, however, have no interest in this concept. They will make the confirmation process about faith, not fairness, political correctness, not competence, “feelings,” not law, and about governmental power, not individual freedom.

Just watch.

As I recall, Hermie sort of overestimated his capacity and asked the druggist for three dozen “rubbers” in preparation for his big night on the beach - kind of like the ‘rats are badly overestimating how big their gains are going to be in the midterms this fall......

Karl Marx HATED the middle class.
He HATED them.
He wanted them DEAD.
He wanted their blood FLOWING in the streets.

But you middle class Marxists just love your Socialism. :)

Even now, we hear some of these people say, how the past failures of socialism have been because it just wasn’t implented properly.

Has communism/socialism succeeded anywhere, anytime?

They can talk about the theories of Marx and Engels, but what about any examples of successful socialism?

And I wish they would tell us, why is it, that communism is always imposed by force, and stays in power by force? Why have millions I Ed under communism, if that is such a fine system of structure of society and the economy?

The summer--and fall--of '42 wasn't exactly a season of happy days for the Left. In the November election, the GOP picked up 47 House seats and eight Senate seats. New representatives included Clare Boothe Luce, future ambassador to Italy, and Norris Poulson, future mayor of Los Angeles, along with Walter Judd and Avin O'Konski, who for years would serve as articulate spokesmen in the House for the conservative cause. In the Senate, new faces included Kenneth Wherry and Homer Ferguson, who would remain thorns in the side of the Left for many years.

The biggest problem with Socialism is that it works.

EXACTLY! Marx hated the middle-class because they didn’t want to become elites and they had the know-how to not be poor and exploited!

So the crypto socialists take off their masks and reveal there are really sociopaths. Gee wally, two years of watching them assault innocent civilians on our streets, kinda gave those of us with functioning brains, a clue.
