At first I naturally assumed he was the dem nominee. The party is called the “Independent Party of Oregon”, a name that I would disallow. They have “major party” status in Oregon.
It claims to be “centrist” and “populist” and it’s leadership is primarily concerned with campaign finance. But basically any nut can and has been running under their banner. They held a non-binding all write in POTUS primary and Trump actually won that, Oregon allows fusion voting, but they ended up not supporting anyone for President.

This clown is running against Oregon’s only GOP Rep. Greg Walden. He’s been attacking Walden over forest fires, as if he could have introduced legislation that would prevent wood from being flammable. I didn’t see anything on his twitter to make me think he was conservative in any way. Total tool bag.
These bastards may have made a difference in the handful of State House races where they cross-endorsed either the R or D. 6 of 9 won.
The endorsed the rat in a district Trump ended up carrying with 56%. The incumbent rat hung on by a nose.
