Protesters outnumbered by Trump supporters
The Tribune Chronicle ^ | September 29, 2018 | Heather Ziegler

WHEELING, W.Va. — The “Friendly City” was witness to some terse words between supporters and non-supporters of President Donald Trump as hundreds of people lined Main Street on xxxxxx today hours before his arrival at WesBanco Arena.

As the crowd grew and snaked its way up Main Street, the majority of those waiting were clearly Trump supporters. They sported hats, banners, T-shirts and carried signs and waved American flags.

Trump was in Wheeling to give his support to West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey, who is seeking to unseat current U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., at the polls on Nov. 6.

Among those in attendance was a group of about 15 laid-off General Motors Corp. Lordstown Complex workers. They are part of the Good Jobs Nation #PromisesBroken Pickup Tour.

Tommy Wolikow and his wife, Rochelle, of Youngstown, are members of the group and brought their three children along for the event. Wolikow was laid off from his job the day Trump was inaugurated. He said he is one of 3,000 workers who were laid off because of offshoring of their jobs. He said the layoffs also affect others, such as the drivers who transport parts to the plant, and other related jobs.

“We’re here today because we want (Trump) to keep his promise of having jobs rolling back into America,” Wolikow said as he stood on 14th Street.

Rochelle added, “We have been forgotten.”

Mike Oles, also a spokesman for Good Jobs Nation, said the president needs to hold contractors accountable when they outsource jobs such as building U.S. fighter jets in Turkey.

In a handout, the group said, “Together, we are demanding that President Trump pick up his pen and deliver on this promise to stop offshoring. Many of these workers supported Trump’s presidential bid because they believed he would save their jobs.”

A Trump supporter, Rico Goodwin, of Waynesboro, Va., said it was his first time to attend a Trump rally. He said he felt compelled to make the trip to Wheeling.

He wore a blue T-shirt that read, “Friendly, Gay, Trump Supporter,” and had an American flag banner draped around his shoulders.

President Trump has supporters from every ethnic group, race, nationality, gender, trade, profession, hobby, sport, labor organization, religion, veteran status, level of education and every other group you can imagine. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Not sure this is the case, but companies are dumping union “workers” who did not work. It is not outsourcing, it is cleaning up.

One group of supporters are some motorcycle “clubs”. Can we imagine them standing near these lines and the fear that they can put into these liberals?

Murdoch’s Sky News in Australia just broadcast this CNN piece - the usual CNN anti-Trump rubbish. cannot understand Murdoch’s Sky in Australia or UK. they might as well be CNN or MSNBC:

25 Sept: CNN: Neck-and-neck race for House seat in Kentucky: Health crisis turned this Trump voter into a Democrat supporter
By Kyung Lah
Hansen had voted for Trump in 2016. He also voted for the Republican congressman for Kentucky’s 6th Congressional District, Andy Barr. But Hansen’s fortunes changed in 2017 after he had a stroke, an event so debilitating, he said, he couldn’t work, losing his health care coverage. He said he now pays for outside insurance, even though he’s entitled to get service from the Department of Veterans Affairs, because he said the care there is so poor...

Hansen’s struggles illustrate why health care is among the top issues in the midterm elections, dominating political ads, particularly among Democrats, who are attacking Republicans over their efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare. In August, a CNN Poll conducted by SSRS found that 81% of voters considered health care important to their vote, including nearly half (48%) who said it was “extremely important.”...

The Murdoch kids are Redder than Red Rupert used to be
FWIW I used to think the Anglosphere was a world apart because
it had the best of everything, had saved the world from despotism and represented the world’s finest minds culture and ideals.

Now it’s just half our nation, the rest have devolved into
multi-culti freaks

Morrisey looked shocked at the size of the crowd - to the rafters, and he was loving it. Great rally!

CNN wouldn’t bother to tell its readers that the VA troubles in 2017 were caused by Obama’s 8 years of inaction on reforming the VA, something Trump started to do nearly the first few months in office.

Together, we are demanding that President Trump pick up his pen and deliver on this promise to stop offshoring.

Well, Trump is scraping regulations, lowering corporate tax rates, renegoiating treaties and slapping tarrifs on countries with unfair barriers. I'm not sure how much more the guy can do. The job market never has been better but that doesn't mean he'll get his specific job back. This guy should be looking at his state senators and congressman who opposes such actions.

Reminds me of the woman a couple of decades ago that said she was a lifelong republican but had recently become democrat because - because the republicans were anti-abortion, anti-imigration, etc.

i.e. she was lying. They were always those things.

I'm not familiar with how these contracts are worked out, but I would expect US fighter jets built in Turkey to be built by local labor...

In country? US labor...always

This nation has always been in flux. (Remember “Manifest Destiny”?0 For those who have lost jobs there are companies advertising for workers in every state of the union. If you can’t find a job at place X, go to Y. If for some reason you choose not to, do not whine.
