U.S. Sen. Cory Booker made one last attempt to derail the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court, urging his 4.1 million Twitter followers to flood the Senate switchboard in opposition.
Booker, D-N.J., issued his call to action as senators pored over a new FBI investigation into allegations of sexual assault leveled against Kavanaugh.
"The time to call your senators is now," Booker tweeted with the hashtags "Stop Kavanaugh" and "Believe Survivors."

Anyone listen to the Chris Plante show on the radio today? This woman called up saying she was Christine Fords neighbor growing up and said back then she was known as “Christy Blasey” and said she was nuts. She was a problem kid in her teens who would sleep around and get wasted until finally her parents moved to California thinking the move would help her. Of course no proof, but I tend to believe it. Look at her face, she’s 51 yet could pass for 71 and she’s got that vocal fry that heroin users get

I called my ultralib backbenchers from Maryland yesterday. As I spoke to the staffers, I asked if they had heard of the sworn statement Ford’s ex-boyfriend made about her training her friend on how to pass a polygraph? None had heard about it.
I told them that Rachel Mitchell had asked Ford if she ever prepped anyone on how to take a polygraph and her answer was No, Never. Then her boyfriend swore under penalty of perjury that she helped her friend pass one.
Each of the staffers were relatively silent. I said, Gee, sounds like Dr. Ford is a liar huh? They had no choice but to agree with me.
I said, Make sure the Senator knows this. Both admitted their daily tally was close between yes/no. In Maryland no doubt.
One of them is up for re-election but the Republican isn’t gaining much traction.
