I called my ultralib backbenchers from Maryland yesterday. As I spoke to the staffers, I asked if they had heard of the sworn statement Ford’s ex-boyfriend made about her training her friend on how to pass a polygraph? None had heard about it.

I told them that Rachel Mitchell had asked Ford if she ever prepped anyone on how to take a polygraph and her answer was No, Never. Then her boyfriend swore under penalty of perjury that she helped her friend pass one.

Each of the staffers were relatively silent. I said, Gee, sounds like Dr. Ford is a liar huh? They had no choice but to agree with me.

I said, Make sure the Senator knows this. Both admitted their daily tally was close between yes/no. In Maryland no doubt.

One of them is up for re-election but the Republican isn’t gaining much traction.
