Posted on 11/20/2018 8:30:57 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet
MSNBCs Rachel Maddow referenced the House popular vote in an effort to explain how the Nov. 6th midterm elections really did represent the blue wave many Democrats had been hoping to create.
As of this morning, the Democratic lead in the US House popular vote is up to 7.3%, from 7.2% yesterday. For comparison purposes, note that in 2010 which was widely seen as a GOP wave cycle Republicans won the US House popular vote by 6.6%, Maddow tweeted.
What Maddow was saying was that overall, more nationwide votes were cast for Democrats in House seats than for Republicans. She further noted that the Democrats total vote advantage 7.3 percent was greater than the advantage enjoyed by Republicans 6.6 percent in 2010.
Maddow left out the fact that the House popular vote is not actually a metric used to officially determine anything and that the number of House seats gained by Democrats in 2018 (as many as 40 once the final votes are tallied) is still dwarfed by the record number of seats gained by Republicans in 2010, when President Obama lost 63 House seats and six more in the Senate.
The MSNBC host is not the only one running with the House popular vote narrative....

Well, everything Rachel Maddow says is a lie. You can’t trust a word that guy says.
What are the numbers for the Senate popular vote?
...the number of House seats gained by Democrats in 2018 (as many as 40 once the final votes are tallied) is still dwarfed by the record number of seats gained by Republicans in 2010, when President Obama lost 63 House seats and six more in the Senate.
Nonexistent? Why the next thing you know there really wont be three chambers of Congress as per Occasional Kotex.
Now, that’s just silly
Republicans won those Senate seats by gerrymandering
It’s like Calypso Louie (Louis Farrakhan) math.
The building is 110 feet tall. 0 is the number of jews killed that leaves 11. There are nine people looking at me right now and that gives you 9-11.
If you take the number of democrats in the country, plus the number we know are here (illegal aliens) and subtract the number of suppressed votes. You end up with 95% of the population hates Trump. It’s a blue wave.
Does Major league baseball give a trophy to the team in the world series that scores the most total runs or base hits regardless of who won the most games? Because that’s what they’re doing here. MSNBC has become sports talk radio for political zealots.
I guess Madcow isn’t just another pretty face, but also a mathematics professor, PolySci prof, and Demographics expert all rolled up into one genius.
But I could be wrong, I guess.
More venomous dike shibai
That dude Madow is a moron.
Maddow’s supposedly very intelligent, yet she wants to be ruled over by democrat politicians.
Boggles the mind doesn’t it?
add math to the list of subjects that The Happy Lesbian failed.
journolistas do not care about facts
So a bunch of illegal immigrants vote in a few sanctuary states and that is a blue wave. Leftists are really bad people.
Once you include the 134,000,000 Democrat votes in Broward County then Maddow is absolutely right.
lol. I don’t get her/his appeal at all. For that matter, as dense as CNN is, what kind of idiot do you have to be to watch MSNBC?
The Demonic-rats did not win the vote as much as it won the recount.
If this is not addressed there will be no valid elections in the future.
