House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Monday that she’s against impeaching President Trump “unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan.” Which is exactly the point — there isn’t.
The speaker is surely up to speed on what evidence Democrats actually have against Trump and has a fair sense of what Special Counsel Bob Mueller’s report will say. And she recognizes that it’s nothing that will persuade anyone who hasn’t wanted Trump ousted since Election Day 2016.
Which means that moving to impeach him would be not just “divisive to the country,” as she says, but also bad for Democrats — since it would show them as unable to resist the most demented demands of their base.
This, when last week’s pathetic failure to confront Rep. Ilhan Omar’s anti-Semitism already exposed them as in thrall to extremists.

As if on cue, major media are now posting stories that “Ticking clock may save Trump from impeachment in Congress”
You see, they say it is too late to impeach Trump since the 2020 Presidential campaign is already gearing up.
They tell us all this while they just ran an election on impeachment 4 months ago.
There is definitely something afoot.

I think the ‘gimmick’ here, to build on some impeachment, is to get ten years of tax records on Trump, and find a Cohen-like lie or two, within that, and try to run an entire impeachment like they ran the Cohen-smear. They required four Republicans to cross the line (which Romney would have been one of the four). My suspicion is that they added up the landscape in the last week.
Other than Romney’s vote...getting three more GOP senators to vote an impeachment into effect, wasn’t going to occur. If they lost the impeachment vote....that would have TURBOCHARGED the get-out-the-vote campaign in the Trump-30 states (from 2016). Instead of taking down Trump....you could be talking about all thirty Trump states, along with a three-million plus-up on votes, and then those stupid blue states who made the change to the Electoral College business, would have found all of their votes going to Trump. Electoral-wise, he might have taken 370-plus votes.
I do agree with you....the ‘hate’ is still pumped up, but go look at various news outlets in trouble. Last I saw....WaPo is in court and could lose that case with the MAGA kids. Several other outlets are being dragged in. The MAGA kids (by summer of 2020), might have taken over $700-million in damages. For some outlets, that’ll kill their profits for the entire year (maybe even two years).

Pelosi is fighting a three front war. She has Trump, the Democrat party and then the Marxist wing of the party within the party.
While I am enjoying the Best Election Ever, there is a bigger problem brewing which only the Democrats can fix. The power that Pelosi and Schumer want for Democrats is being taken over by the AOC’s of the party. What Pelosi and Schumer know but cannot say is that they opened Pandora’s box and now they cannot close it.
There are only two things that can change this. The first is purging the radicals, whether one by one or the whole lot of them. The second is losing bigly in 2020, backing up the wagon and recreating the rat party based on principles of socialism, but in a way that isn’t radical.
Regardless, if moderate Democrats choose party over country and accept radical Marxism as their new political ideology, then there is nothing more that can be done.
So, the Demonicrats are going to go after Trump’s family members, instead.
Remember, Federal laws are so vague and so expansive that anyone could be committing multiple felonies every day - and they just need to find one. And you can bet the DoJ is not going to let a ‘Pubbie off, much less a Trump family member, on “there was no intent to break the law” like they did Hillary!.
There is no way she will get Schiff, Cummings, and Nadler to stand down and they will have the total support of the socialist actors who are now the face of the Dems. Pelosi is desperate right now. She is a smart enough pol to see where this is likely ending up. Think Reagan in 84 and the Congress in 2010 combined.

Now to get rid of Trump they will need to go to the voting booth and vote, and then of course, he will need to lose. Considering the Democrat Socialist cabal that is running against him... It’s not likely that he will lose... So have pity on these poor demented souls and please do not rub it in.... Avoid that temptation, and also consider their instability... Some of them won’t survive this and it’s better that they exit alone in their bedrooms, rather than taking out the neighborhood.

Could a law suit loss push CNN off the air? The Dems. would lose their mouth piece to airports and other countries. Oh, the Dems. will reward CNN with 20 Presidential political candidates advertisements throughout the summer. If Soros kicks some money in, they could pick up a fast 100 million in Dem. political ads. They already have political operatives at the other ABC stations. They must keep hate alive? It will payoff in the long run.

I am seeing the despair among the “never-trumpers” being played out.
Months ago, an acquaintance of mine was waxing rhapsodic over “Russia Russia Russia” and eagerly awaiting the Mueller Report. She couldn’t wait to see all the “high crimes and misdemeanors” that the report would reveal.
Just this week, the only thing she had on President Trump to complain about was that he allegedly said pussy in a private conversation with another man. A LONG time ago.
Looks like that’s all they got.
