Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has said that President Donald Trump is “a symptom of much deeper problems” that won’t simply go away if he were to be impeached or voted out in the next presidential election.
Ocasio-Cortez, who represents New York’s 14th district, posted to Twitter on Sunday afternoon, resharing a tweet by actor George Takei. The celebrity — most famous for his role in Star Trek and a frequent critic of Trump — wrote that even if the president were removed from office, the U.S. would still have “a big question” to answer.
“How did a guy like that get elected? Why do so many still support him?” he asked. “We can’t just say ‘Fox News’ or ‘Russians.’ We have serious issues to sort out.”

AOC is like that doll my little sister had way back in the day... pull her string and she spouts pretty-sounding lines that are totally disassociated from what is actually going on. I swear that she just talks to hear her own voice, and when she gets called on something she talks faster and changes the subject. GOTTA GO!

I loved the original Star Trek. I admired Leonard Nimoy, whose character of Spock inspired me greatly and may have been one of the most profound influences on my life. I admire William Shatner and the way he portrayed Captain Kirk as a bold “get-er-done” fellow (and I buy airplane tickets from him, too). But George Takei—he turned out to be such a pompous jerk, not fit to be associated with Shatner and Nimoy.
I funded Trump, and my money is exactly the same color as those idiots Takei and AOC’s money. It is a dark day for the forces of totalitarianism indeed, when ordinary people like us attempt to return our government to its original form, of the people and by the people.
As someone wrote yesterday: The hero democrat will emerge as the person who stands up and declares they need to stop the investigations and move on to real issues.
AOC will be that person. Scary as hell...but she will be that person.
