MADISON, Wis. (AP) - U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders returned to the friendly terrain of Wisconsin on Friday, promising to build a coalition that will defeat President Donald Trump as he kicked off a swing through pivotal states that are part of the Democratic "blue wall" strategy for 2020.
Sanders, speaking to a crowd of about 2,400 who braved 40-degree (4 Celsius) temperatures with a stiff 20 mph (32 kph) wind, pledged to flip Midwestern states such as Wisconsin that Trump narrowly won in 2016.
"Together, we are going to make sure that does not happen again," Sanders said to cheers. "We're going to win here in Wisconsin. We're going to win in Indiana. We're going to win in Ohio. We're going to win in Michigan. We're going to win in Pennsylvania and together we're going to win this election."

Trump won these places but I’m curious to know if he’ll keep them. Has the Rust Belt improved with Trump’s promises? It seems that many voted Democrat in the mid terms.

Sanders had better hope OH voters don’t bother to take a look at the going away prezzie Kasich left taxpayers. OH’s budget is a fiscal time bomb.
And the only hope OH, and every other state has, since none can print money, is a healthy, growing capitalist economy that will postpone that day of reckoning.
